My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
*Since OK Cupid studies show that people don't actually read these descriptions, I'll get right to it - if you wanna snuggle and talk philosophy, geek on science while touching each others bodies, dissect culture and egos, or just toke up and wax poetic naked in the sun, send me a message and let's explore each other. Feel free to be explicit about your interests and intentions in your message. I have an amazing partner who has been encouraging me to explore intimacy with new people, and I'm finally warming up to that idea.*

And here's the rest of my way-too-long profile:

I'm a world-traveling, retro-gaming, concert-going, nude-sun-bathing, noise-making, generally rad guy with an active sense of wonder and a genuine heart. I love live music, festivals, and cons/expos of all kinds. I'm a game audio geek, musician, performer, dancer, and lover of life with a strong sense of compassion and love for myself and others.

Beautiful, natural environments are critical to my survival; I love living near forests, mountains, and oceans. I'm interested in self-knowledge, divergent thinking, economics, science, creating, logic, art, philosophy, travel, photography, peaceful parenting, design, micro-brews, history, fonts, psychology, and video games (especially retro-gaming). I also enjoy living room dance parties, karaoke nights, Muppet movies, Mario Kart time trials, and Courtney Love-style nylon-tears interspersed with an abundance of wine and pizza.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
A few years ago, I ditched the white-picket-facade career track and bought a one-way ticket to China where I finally started focusing on my love of music composition (hear some of my projects at, and I took my first honest look at myself and dove down a path of self-knowledge, economics, and philosophy.

After very thriftily living off savings in China, Thailand, India, and Japan for a couple years, I moved back to the PNW where I've been picked up on several indie games for composition and sound design. My other musical endeavors include singing for EDM producers and progressive metal bands, composing chiptunes, writing singer/songwriter stuff, and learning orchestral composition.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Swerving when I see mud puddles so I can splash water with the force of eighty-five horses.
And wearing skirts and dresses - I look damn good in a dress and heels.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hopefully, my fantastic mane of curly hair, well-kept beard, and infectious smile. But probably my weird Asian-looking pants, jika-tabi shoes, and the scent of sandalwood.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Progressive rock, EDM, jazz, djent, downtempo, prog metal, world, and anything with emotive melodies. Some favorites are TesseracT, Rishloo, Zedd, Ella Fitzgerald, Jim Croce, Mother Mother, Cloud Cult, A Perfect Circle, FTM, Tracy Chapman, America, Chet Baker, Symphony of Science...

I enjoy both tabletop and video games. Mostly stuff like Settlers, Munchkin, Guillotine, Cards Against Humanity, etc. And for video games, I'm most fond of NES, SNES, N64, and other old-school games, but there are a few modern indie games that have captured me as well, such as Bastion, Portal, Papers Please, and things you'd find featured in the PAX 10.

Pizza, microbrews, wine, Thai iced tea, masala chai, horchata, Mexican, Japanese, Thai, American, Indian, German, and occasionally, Taco Bell food-substitute.

M.C. Escher is my all-time fave. I also enjoy pop-art, surrealism, and other modern art. Some favorites include Dali, Picasso, Van Gogh, Duchamp, Warhol, Haring, Mondrian, Pollock, Toulouse-Lautrec, & Rothko. Museum trips are an all-day activity for me.

Miyazaki, V for Vendetta, Serenity, Eternal Sunshine..., Requiem for a Dream, Shawshank Redemption, What Dreams May Come... you get the gist. I also dig any Muppet movie or legendary 80s/90s film, especially Labyrinth, The Goonies, The Sandlot, The Neverending Story, & The Princess Bride. Scott Pilgrim... was rad, too.

I mostly read non-fiction books and articles, specifically those about economics, philosophy, game audio, psychology, parenting, history, science, voluntarism, and self-knowledge. A few favorite authors include Carl Sagan, Richard Dawkins, Ray Bradbury, George Orwell, Thomas Woods, & H.G. Wells.

I don't watch much television, but the shows I do enjoy include Game of Thrones, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Firefly, Adventure Time, South Park, Pen & Teller: Bullshit, MythBusters, and anything about science, psychology, or economics.

The Game Audio Podcast, School Sucks Podcast, Freakonomics, Radiolab, The Mises Daily, and the Beards, Cats, & Indie Game Audio Podcast.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Touch, Creativity, Nature, Music, Dancing, and Sunshine.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Music. Everything is music. Every sound is a song. And they're all in my head, all at once.
I think often about how to be more rational, logical, compassionate, and self-aware. And death; my mind obsesses over the finite nature of life and how someday I'll completely cease to exist. That's always a weird one, but I'm learning to turn that fear into appreciation for the great fortune I have to be living as a human at this time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Performing, seeing a show, dancing, singing karaoke, dumpster diving, or hanging with fellow CouchSurfers. I also really enjoy Fridays that involve nothing more than pizza, beer/weed, and friends... and maybe some co-op gaming or Muppets from Space.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I was the kid in the 90s with the "rat tail."
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You feel moved to do so, you want somebody to come snuggle you and drink wine together, you just need some light physical play, or you want to discuss gene theory or economics naked over Indian food. I'm serious about all of this.

Most importantly, message me if you're rad, honest, rational, and you have stories to tell and ideas to share. You're on a continual path of growth and you give both yourself and others love and compassion. You enjoy being totally goofy/nerdy, you like going to festivals, concerts, and cons, or you're a dumpster diver. You have colorful hair, you're a cosplayer, or you're a self-proclaimed nerd. You don't care for the gender binary. You take care of your body. Also, I tend to prefer cute over hot. Being both is wicked awesome.

I only engage in mutually-beneficial, voluntary relationships with fun, caring, logical people, so send me a message if that's you!
