I am creative, fun, and thoughtful.

My Self-Summary

My name is Catie. I've lived in NYC since '04, but grew up in New Jersey. I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2007 for Fashion Design & Patternmaking. I like to walk along the Hudson River park and relax by the water. Also enjoy finding new places in the city to hang out or have a drink. Hmm...I love to cook - even started putting together my own cookbook as a Christmas present to my relatives... still working on it, but its pretty cool. Keeps all my creations organized. I'm very arts & craft-y. Tissue paper flowers, random decorations or jewelry. I'm like an arts and crafts McGuyver.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm working in the fashion industry as a patternmaker. Basically, its my responsibility to take the designer's sketch and figure out how to bring it to life. I love it. So much fun to know that without you [patternmakers] they wouldn't be able to make any clothes!!

I’m really good at

Well, arts & crafts like i said before. And cooking (esp chicken) I've been told I'm good with advice, although it never seems I take my own.

The first things people usually notice about me

Green eyes. Prob my fav thing about myself too. They change shades to be more yellow or more hazel sometimes. The yellow is kinda freaky

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Fav book(s) at the moment, are Alexadre Dumas' D'Artagnan Romances (starting with The Three Musketeers and ending with The Man in the Iron Mask...6 books altogether) Read a couple Camus books, love Sophocles plays. And def The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chobsky. I think i'm on my third copy bc I keep giving mine to friends to read and then totally forgetting who has it. Great coming of age story

The six things I could never do without

Fried chicken, or chicken of any kind actually. I think it's prob my favorite thing in the world. A little weird, I know, but hey - who DOESN'T love chicken? Then my iPhone, hard to live without it once you get used to it/brainwashed.
