Her journal posts

I keep dating the same person.

So I've been taking the Match Me tests of men that I have dated who have profiles on here, and I noticed some really unexpected similarities in the type of questions they all seem to really care about. Apparently if you care about any of the following questions, we should be dating:

Do you consider yourself to be an honorable person?
-Yes, I always try to do the right thing.
-Sometimes, it depends on the situation.
-No, not really.
-Are you kidding? I lie, cheat , AND steal.

You're in a romantic relationship, with someone you really like. As far as you're concerned, how long will it take before you'll have sex?
-1-2 dates
-3-5 dates
-6 or more dates
-Only after the wedding

Should evolution and creationism be taught side-by-side in public schools?
-Yes, students should hear both sides
-No, creationism has no place in public schools
-No, evolution has no place in public schools

If you were in a serious relationship and you learned that your partner cheated on you one drunken night, could you forgive him/her?
-Yes, if he/she was sincerely sorry.
-No, never.
-It depends on the situation.
-I don't believe in monogomy.

Does violence ever solve anything?
-Yes, everything
-No, violence solves nothing
-Most of the time
-Almost never, but sometimes

How much affection can you tolerate?
-Inifinite
-Most of it.
-A little bit.
-Get off me!!

These literally all showed up in the tests for three different guys I've dated. Now I have to figure out if concern with these issues is something I should be looking for or looking out for...

An image of Thrakandorius Well that's how the whole thing works, right? It watches out for answers you care about, then makes sure that people who have a different view don't match as well. Because if people disagee on something it means they're fundamentally incompatible. OBVIOUSLY.

There are people who don't consider these important questions?

Other than the immediacy of sex thing, that's irrelevant.

An image of Deinhaato Hmm...well, my only thought on the matter is that the three men you're talking about are all former relationships. Obviously whatever their answers were to those questions, you might want to try something different the next time.

An image of SchuMac Except for the honourable thing, these are probably things that would show up on mine. No way would I wait until marriage, so I think I ticked the other 3 and did mandatory. I tend to do that a lot when I see one really unacceptable answer.

An image of rocketpunch I care about the evolution one. It's a good rational mind detector. Also, I study evolutionary processes so liking it would help a great deal.

An image of eggserroneous I enjoy fine cheeses. And sunset walks on the beach. There MUST be cheese, however.

An image of razordaze Oh come on. That Evolution / Creation question is not a "good rational mind detector," it just means someone's picked a side. Sides are so 3 societal stages ago. Rational minds are undecided now. Evolution will be taught, and creationism will be taught, nearly never in the same school, and neither are truly reconcilable or fully true.

An image of Gentleman_R @Razordaze One's been supported by evidence so far and the other is from the best-selling fiction novel of all time and can't be proved or disproved. Have you found the Flying Spaghetti Monster? If creationism has a place, so should it.

An image of 0oAudiophileo0 Dear men of the internet, as long as this has come up I feel I should put down in writing that if you don't believe in evolution, I don't want to hear from you. I know from experience that it's POSSIBLE for me to like someone who doesn't, but I will always think of you as misguided and ignorant, and that's when I'm thinking kindly of you.

An image of R_Ellis26 They say evolution is natural selection, and evolutionISM is the theory that all species evolved from blobs of amino acids that had been struck by lightning. One is a fact while the other is a theory and people confuse those two terms; but really this is a dream, neither are real, and all of you are crazy.

An image of Jeric75 The cool thing is, if enough women quit procreating with men who don't believe in evolution, the average intelligence of the human race will go up. Thanks, Darwin!
