What I’m doing with my life
Just your typical "quit your day job of over 6 years and move half way across the world on a to live with your best friends to have the time of your life without having a heart attack" kind of life at the moment. Others would say it's a mid-life crisis. All semantics to me.

Totally new to Melbourne (and the Eastern part of the equator in general really...) and not quite sure what I'm in for. Which honestly is the part of the fun! I mean, who wants to know EXACTLY what you're going to be doing ALL the time?? Okay, so there's the initial "omg omg what am I doing why is nobody telling me to stop?!?" moment, but that's gone after a day or two. Maybe a week. Definitely at LEAST a month.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm open minded to new experiences, and I'm completely down with being introduced to all the awesomeness that this side of the world can bring me!
I’m really good at
Being competent at everything that I put effort in. I like wearing the Jack of All Trades title. Makes me feel like a super hero.

I'm great at fixing things. Which can cause problems, because once your good at a skill like that, people ask you to fix EVERYTHING!

I'm also pretty good at making scrambled eggs. This is important, because it taught me that life is about screwing things up so much that you learn how to not screw things up in the future. Yes, I had an epiphany from cooking eggs.

Oh, and I can do this weird thing with my thumb and pinky on my left hand. It freaks people it out. Great at parties and bars!
The first things people usually notice about me
My sunny disposition in life :) Oh, and I apparently have really cute dimples. It makes me want to smile all the time so I can get complimented on my dimples. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - Any Sherlock Holmes, Cosmos, The Adventures of Cavaliar and Clay, Game of Thrones

Movies - Shawshank Redemption, Eternal Sunshine, Fight Club

Shows - I could watch Firefly till the end of time, as well as Cowboy Bebop

Music - Tool, Brian Eno, and honestly I kinda just listen to whatever sounds good, I'm always open to recommendations of new goodness!

Food - Anything cooked with a bit of soul and love is good to me.

I just want to note, the list is short because having a list of 50,000 things is just insane and takes too much time. I think you can get a good idea of their general taste.
The six things I could never do without
Really, there is only two things I truly need in life:
My family
My friends

But since it asked me to include six:
My Laptop. It is not a tool. It's a means!
Beer. Well, alcohol in general.
Bacon. Can there possibly be any other food that's so beloved?
Denim Jeans. Most comfortable things ever. I can wear them in house, and look amazing. Going outside? Still look amazing! Out for run? Amazerun.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
A bunch of random stuff. Philosophy, the sad state of internet security, what music I'm going to listen to on my commute, etc. Bring something up. If I did think of it, I'd love to tell you about it, and if I didn't, I'd love to hear about it!
On a typical Friday night I am
When I was in NY, it would involve after work drinks with co-workers (good god can teachers drink...) and then either me going home and eating some late night dinner and watching a movie, or going out with friends and proceeding to make questionable decisions at 2:00AM. I liked this tradition, and I'm hoping to continue it!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I mistakenly thought the uvula was tonsils when a student corrected me on the matter. Hymns were sung. Minds were blown. Seriously...25 years, and nobody thought about correcting me whenever the subject was brought up?
