I enjoy movies, music, baseball, basketball, good food, a good cup of coffee, most of the usual stuff.
I enjoy working in the garden, but I also like to travel.
I'm a city girl, but I like to get away from the city once in a while. (Yes, I'll go camping or canoeing.) Spent a major part of my childhood in the suburbs. It got me interested in transportation and urban planning. Which is not what I do for a living, but my current job is pretty good.
I like walks on the beach, especially if there is an ocean involved. Lake Michigan is all right, too. Is there a romantic under all this? Probably.
This section is a work in progress. I wanted you guys to know that I am OK with going out to lunch or to a movie or for coffee, and that I like live music and baseball, and my idea of a dream date is not about the surroundings but the person I am with.
I read the New York Times, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel (though not every day) and the Shepherd Express, sometimes The Economist or the occasional trade magazine.
I'm shy, but not retiring.
Have baggage, but it fits in the overhead compartment.
Oh, and the "other" under Religion is Quaker. (Whether I am Christian or not depends on how elastic your definition is.)
I should probably point out that I am looking for someone close to my own age. It would be nice if you lived close enough that we could at least see each other on a weekend.
(yes, I will get a picture of myself in a dress, one of these days.)
