My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey everyone, I'm a classical musician, balance seeking health nut, and overall athletic and playful guy. I love what I do for a living, and I like to think I'm pretty good at it. I have an amazing family, and wonderful friends all over the globe. While I can be sarcastic, and sometimes goofy, I am a kindhearted person and a compassionate and non-judgmental listener. It would be great to find some of the same qualities in a partner.

For any fellow psychology geeks, I am an INTJ... but am very close to the middle of the spectrum for each of the 4 measurements. So, I'm balanced, but difficult to classify. Around some people I'm the life of the party. But, just as often, I sit back and observe. If you're an extrovert, and crave someone you can light up the town with, I'm probably not going to be that guy. At parties, I prefer finding one or several people with whom I can have an interesting conversation. Small talk bores me, but I occasionally indulge for the sake of networking.

I am very health conscious and physically active. If you are too, we'll have that much more to talk about. I'm spiritual and scientific, an artist and a jock. I'm basically a walking contradiction.

I bought a house and moved to Philly last summer and am looking to meet new people in the area. My schedule is pretty busy, but I have control over most of it. So I can make time for friends, family, and people who intrigue me. I'm a laid back, playful, and affectionate guy who loves life. If you're up for some fun, if you know yourself, and if you're serious about meeting in person to see if we have a connection (romantic or just friends), I'd love to hear from you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I do what I'm passionate about for a living. I'm a musician. I hold jobs with orchestras in NY and Philly, provide consulting services for people who need live music, and teach a handful of private students on the side.

I eat fruits and veggies in quantities that most people would find absurd, and I occasionally wear Fivefinger shoes. Consider yourself warned. :)

In all seriousness, there are many ways to be healthy. I eat mostly low fat raw vegan. Don't worry, I'm not a patchouli smelling, dreadlock wearing pothead living in my parents' basement. I go out to eat often (Philly is such a great foodie town, how could I not?!), my social life is completely unaffected, and I don't try to convert people. If you'd like to know the whys and hows, I'm happy to share. If, without knowing any of that, this is a deal breaker, then I wish you the best of luck in your search.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love, music, fresh air, and good food. 6 is too many things to be unable to do without.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
nutrition, health, music, running after Ultimate discs, sleeeeeeeeeep...

I wish that, to accompany each "income" text box, dating sites included a "level of happiness" box. I don't care how much you can make in a year, as long as you're an adult and can support yourself. Happiness is so much more important.

Also, I'm kind of astounded by the dynamic on here at times... everyone gets rejected at least little bit. That's just life. Sometimes sending a message will engage a response, sometimes it won't. Sometimes a friendship can spark, other times a relationship or a fling. I do my best to respond to every message positively, regardless of my level of interest, because I appreciate closure and compassion, for myself and for others. But I realize that not all people approach online dating in a considerate respectful manner. To you women who have received lewd comments merely for not being interested in a guy, I apologize on behalf of my gender. :) Not all of us guys are passive aggressive assholes.

I wish everyone the best of luck in their search.

You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You should message me if: watch this all the way through and laugh out loud at least twice. are moved by this. are motivated and inspired by something in your life, you are kind, warm, a music geek, workout junky, someone who can carry on an intellectual conversation one minute, and act like a goofball the next.

We are less likely to be a good match if you are making a duck face in most of your pictures, if you can't wait until the next holiday bar crawl in your town, or the gist of your profile is, "I like to have fun, I like the beach." We all like to have fun, and most of us even like the beach. I hear all the time how most women long for us men to write messages containing something more creative than "Hey, you're hot". Please give us something to work with! Help us help you ;)
