I am intelligent, geeky, and caring.
My Self-Summary
I'm an easygoing guy who is a bit on the geeky side. I'm looking
for new friends, true love, or just a good time.
I love to cook, watch movies, and just hang out. I enjoy a wide
variety of things in life. I'm just as happy spending an evening at
the park, at the movies, good old fashioned conversation, playing a
board game, or cooking a meal for a few friends. I like to dabble
in everything and always enjoy trying new things. I've brewed my
own beer, cured bacon and corned beef, made soap using lye,
traveled a bit, and countless other curious things. It's the little
things in life that make things interesting.
I am simultaneously a futurist and old fashioned. I work with
electronics for a living, but I collect and shave with antique
razors. My watch is completely mechanical, but at the same time I
follow the latest high tech gadgetry. I believe that chivalry is
not dead, but is only adapting to modern sensibilities.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm an engineer working for a big company at the moment, but my
long term goal is to own my own business.
I’m really good at
I like to think I'm an excellent cook, but I suppose that
conclusion is for others to determine.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love all sorts of movies and tv. Lately I've been watching a lot
of science fiction and british comedy. Doctor Who and Red Dwarf of
late. Anything by Pixar is excellent. The same goes for anything
made by Hayao Miyazaki. A quick random selection from my movie
library might find: Children of Men, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars,
Idiocracy, Cowboy Bebop, The Fifth Element, Seven Years in Tibet,
Das Boot, Lola Rennt.
I listen to some unusual music, mostly German industrial. Oomph!,
Rammstein, Eisbrecher, and the like. There's always time for
variety though. The Beatles, Clapton, random jazz, or a touch of
Sinatra. Flogging Molly when I'm in that Irish pirate kind of mood.
The Traveling Wilburys are always enjoyable (extra points if you
know who they were.)
I love food in general. Thai, sushi, Indian, Italian, French. I
enjoy learning to make both classic and exotic foods in my own
kitchen. Yet there's nothing wrong with having a cheap pizza
delivered.
The six things I could never do without
Good food
Good drink
Good company
Netflix (hooray for instant downloads of obscure British
comedy)
