My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm enjoying life as retirement nears, and wonder if there's a partner who would like to enjoy it with me. I've taught grades one through twelve, plus adjunct freshman comp. Lived and worked six years in the British Virgin Islands, and have visited the UK, Israel, and New Zealand. I enjoyed a year writing for a daily newspaper in Florida, but found I missed the chaos of children. About 4 years ago, relocated to NC to be closer to family.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently fixing up an old house (I paint, hire others to hammer) and jotting bits in my journal after a week at work. I've begun meeting monthly with a group of poets, and have had a few published.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Reggae, jazz, classical, rock -- they all appeal. I particularly like live performances. Enjoy most movies, especially comedies and those based on history. Have been reading Carolyn Myss's Anatomy of the Spirit; found another nonfiction title Readicide intriguing. Novels like the Kite Runner, and Water for Elephants also come to mind

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
