I'm an intelligent, thoughtful guy looking for a girl who enjoys great conversation and a witty sense of humour. I like staying active, mentally, socially and physically and consider integrity to be of paramount importance. I'm looking for someone who values these things as well. Ultimately I don't think two people need to have identical interests--that would be boring--but some overlap in addition to good chemistry makes for a great combination.

Career-wise I'm a former financial analyst who left to pursue a journalism career. Most of the time I write about economic issues, but life is too short to always be serious so I write satire as well. And I get an inordinate amount of joy from filing Access to Information requests with the government!

When I'm not taking long walks on the beach or other assorted cliches, I play tennis, soccer, and volleyball, to name a few sports.

I think a lot about self-improvement, and particularly how to be more productive on a daily basis (I suspect thinking too much is the biggest impediment...) In recent years I've got a new haircut, rediscovered jeans after being pretty much exclusive with khakis, and even joined an online dating site. But I guess you already knew that?
