My self-summary
I am currently a busy grad student studying theology in Louisville. I plan to do environmental advocacy.

Important issues to me have to do with peace and justice, used book stores, farmer's markets, and healthy families. I'd consider myself a "foodie" who is looking for the emancipated, educated Grizzly Adams. Or maybe a modern day John Muir. It would be nice to meet someone open to Quakerism, for its non-violent actions and possibly more.
I am Christian, and not conservative, enjoy biking over driving, and other ways to care for and experience the planet. (like solar cooking, hiking, backpacking!) A little 30 minute weekly radio show called "Bioneers" has caught my attention, and I find it very uplifting.
I am looking for someone to come home to; someone who wants to build a home life.
What I’m doing with my life
I teach summer school art classes, which I love to do, and develop my own art, when I have the time and space, but lately it may get pushed aside now that I am doing school.

Other passions include caring for the planet, learning about food, and trying to promote environmental care at school.
I’m really good at
Scribbling outside the lines...sometimes even inside.
The first things people usually notice about me
My white teeth (they're natural) and the portfolio I'm carrying.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is just until I think of more. Neil postman's Amusing Ourselves to Death, Wendell Berry, Douglas Coupland. I'd love to read Martin Buber with someone, and yes I've started Fellowship of the Ring and enjoy Tolkien. Other summer reading goals: My name is Asher Lev, and essays by Simone Weil, a 20th century Christian mystic.

For films I do have to confess to watching Lord of the Rings a lot, but I also like Blood Diamond, and fancy, possibly envision myself doing work like the female protagonist. For laughs, I might watch Tommy Boy. Even though I've seen it repeatedly, I still loose it every time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Michael Pollan's, "Food Rules". I like the work he is doing, and seeing him in food movies like "Food Inc." and "Fresh." Food fascinates me because it connects to almost everything. One minute you can be talking about entertaining relatives, the next treating allergies or challenging corporate power. I'm political in my food awareness, and the way I shop, liking to buy local and support the farmers, while saving money and my health.
Going for my next walk or hike is often on my mind, along with nature, God, public radio shows, making art, and doing art with kids.
On a typical Friday night I am
Recovering. If I'm really having fun, I'm starting an essay or some other assignment. Need help in this dept.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Santa told ME a few things, too.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls

  • Located anywhere
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating
You should message me if
1) If you are a kind soul with a good heart.
2) You know "your" from "you're", and you know how to use them.

Basically, I'm looking for the man with the stability and sexual integrity of Ward Clever, along with the politics and cultural spirit of Michael Stipe, John Lennon, and Bono.
You should definitely message me if you did not list an electronic device as something indispensable! Also, if you live poetically, take an interest in the environment, are a fairly progressive Christian or Jew open to Christianity, these are my happy zones. I am learning about Quakerism too.
