I just got back (in late August) from living in rural Nicaragua for two months doing research for my masters thesis. I was living on a farming cooperative working in the fields in the mornings and conducting research in the afternoons. It was a remarkable experience and definitely changed my life for the better. Now I'm in the (super) fun process of writing the damn thing. Not gonna lie, looking forward to graduation.
I've traveled to or lived in a fair amount of countries, been heavily schooled in the social sciences and tend to think outside the box when it comes to things like culture, power, nationalism, gender and economics. As for conversation, I prefer diving deep to skimming on the surface but don't let that fool you! I love to goof around and can still party with the best of them haha. I just like to find out what makes people tick... Like most people in the Bay Area, I also love exposure to different cultures, music, art, food, etc. and think experiences are much more valuable than material things. Other passions of mine are the outdoors, staying active and eating right. I should probably throw the Red Sox and Celtics in there too.
