Following years in finance, the recession helped me make the long
overdue jump from volunteering in soup kitchens to actually running
one...the beginning of a productive, rewarding and fun
journey!
My vacations call for variety...last year they included an adventure to Peru (Machu Picchu, rafting & hiking, improving my spanish), a relaxing stay on the beach, and a strenuous excursion to California for a salsa boot camp extravaganza. If you like salsa or swing, you’re in good hands.
Dust off your bicycle and let’s get ready for this year’s “5 Boro Bike Tour.” I’m also lucky to have easy access to one of the city’s oldest parks (in Hell’s Kitchen where the Sharks and Jets battled) for shooting baskets.
I like splurging on wine and laundry, though I must be extremely careful with the latter – apparently there was some laundry/dry cleaner’s convention at which they decided: PERFECTLY OK to shrink x-tall clothing in half!
Oh, and I'm often driving home for a visit with my two energetic nieces (12 & 13); they've been calling me chicken, even though I've told them, "any time any where," I'm ready for that Wii bowling rematch.
