My self-summary
with a lot of work and practice- some cross between the examined life and the 8 fold path- i've managed to become (something like) the man i want to be and live the life that i want to live.
even had a bit of fun along the way.
What I’m doing with my life
i studied english, though i never got my degree. so now i just read a lot. well, let me rephrase that. i spend a lot of time reading.

i dropped out of university to renovate my first house, and, through a few twists and turns, stuck with it- both the dropping out and the renovating.

whenever people ask me what i do, i tell them- i build things and i read. [and, because saying 'whatever i want, mostly' would make me sound like a dick, even though it's mostly true.]

through a combination of circumstance and intent- good fortune and hard work- i don't work full-time. but i never did more than i ever had to. though work has its merits and virtues, and i could never give it up, the world is too art soaked and information rich for me to spend so much time swinging a hammer.

i get to do a lot of what i want. and i want to share that with someone.

but not just anyone. i like spending time with caring and creative and intelligent people. not necessarily activists and artists and academics, but anyone who is able to slow down enough to see the world, and maybe even do something that helps the world see itself a little bit differently.
I’m really good at
listening, talking, talking when i should be listening.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
how do introverts meet people? [INTJ]
On a typical Friday night I am
i don't live my life for or around the weekend. but some people do, so- making a meal and watching a film, alone or with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
not private; just didn't have anywhere else to put this, so.
for my screen name i went with the closest i could get to 'one eyed man', of course an allusion to the old proverb. [though now i'm thinking that it might imply some physical disadvantage. that wouldn't be good.] but i was thinking of going with 'the curator'. i thought i read this somewhere- 'after introverts go out into the world they have to come back and curate their collection of experiences.' but i did a google search and nothing came up, so now i just claim it as my own.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 33–49
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
you think the world could be different.
