My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I enjoy irreverent humor, the ridiculous, things that go too far. I can have a serious shell, but beneath it I'm exuberant, sometimes flamboyant, and I love to talk. I also love to sing and dancing is great (probably missed my calling for a boy band). Laid back, but shit, can I be intense. I care a good deal about what I put in my body, though I'm not a Nazi about it; I/we should eat more ice cream, lets make a note of that. I'm probably more concerned about what we choose to put in the ground and the air since that affects everyone and also with looking good naked. Does the former make me a collectivist? Somewhat, though I enjoy the spotlight and being on stage enough to find a balance. I momentarily become angsty if I can't recycle or yard waste something. I dabble in the kitchen and push myself when I have someone to cook for. Methinks music will always be a part of me, too.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to free myself of the man! I've done hotel-y work for a decade, but in the past year-plus, acquired the lease for a modest music recording studio. I own all the gear and am well set up to record artists and small ensembles. One thought is to get enough clients that I can start to cut away days at my corporate gig. A developing thought is becoming more than an engineer and closer to being a producer. To this end, I've recently taken performance classes, signing lessons, piano lessons, and am currently balls deep in a music production class. It's real creative shit, filling a void I didn't get in school. If ya like shaking your butt, you might like this new track, "friendetic" off of my soundcloud page:

I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making you a killer Manhattan. Taking my vitamins... is Bulleit Rye a vitamin? Packing and preparing my meals every work day (as in, not a day missed in 4 years). Grocery shopping every week without fail. Keeping food fresh. Also on the domestic side, I prepared a couple of dishes for 9 people, more than I ever have, at a little gathering around my friend Aziz's wedding. One of the dishes was:

Grilled Peach Salad w/
Arugula
Prosciutto (I fall off the veg-wagon for porky goodness)
Fresh Rosemary-Parsley dressing w/sherry
Queso Azul

Yum.

So, I have to think I have potential to be a terrific house-husband.

I've also been led to believe that I'm fairly articulate & have a good vocab, which I find ironic as I really haven't figured out this whole reading books thing. And with my geek roots, I can build you a computer and know how to get most any media you'd like.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Usual Suspects: beard, hair, glasses, smile, and physique depending on my dress (add some heels and I'm one hot ticket)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

With music, my taste is somewhat diverse...like everybody else, right? This is a paradox I thought of last evening: I'm just as likely to be listening to the Stones/Neil Young as Burial/Boards of Canada (ok..I do skew a bit more electronic). Somewhere in there is this love of digitized soul, something we all increasingly become (I'm a reformed videogamer and early lover of the Jackson 5, Sly Stone...does that makes sense?).

Food is kinda like Michael Bolton songs, I just love it all. Though I will say that I have neglected the avocado for far too long; what a fantastic fruit! The amount of low sugar fruits, fungi, and roots has been growing (along with my grocery bill). New regular items include green onions, peppers, 'shrooms, and beets (so dirty yummy)...I'm such a Polack. On the less pedestrian side, I like to keep cotija, capers, kimchee and kale around (the alliteration was for you).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, friends, my synths, delicious food, my father's artwork, smangin' it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Music, the environment, basketball, performing, how I can make myself better to help others, curves, chemistry, never-ending to-do lists, frantically wondering if my hair looks ok.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Who's playing that night? Could be beers, popcorn, movie or whiskey and going out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm one of eight kids and my parents were actually rabbits.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Any combination of the following:

You'd like to show me music/movies/art/poetry/books that rouse your mind, your passion and could do the same to me.

You would like to go for a bike ride.

You're a musician down with some of the music I dig and want to hang out and/or talk about recording.

You are an active type (curvy/thin/normal all work). Being in good shape is attractive.

You can appreciate a good mixed drink/well crafted beer.

You're an artist, a geek, a weirdo, or all of the above. I have some of each in my life (including a sprinkle of each in myself), but can always do with more.

You appreciate witty banter and want to shake your butt! Whether it's Emerald City Soul Club or a Decibel event, I am down.

You'd like to have some outdoor adventures! I rarely get to the wilds and would love to do more of that.
