My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I write and play music. i paint. i write, a lot.
I smoke weed -legally- if you're not ok with that we probably shouldn't waste our time. I recently won a Thomkin for writing about my first hand experience facing the plight of the modern American musician.

Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.

Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, playing music, writing, caring.

this is a big subject. i consider every piece of written and recorded expression integral to a sincere critique of any piece of art. without binary contrast or plenary knowledge and access to contradictory expression, what does one's understanding of said art really amount to? but for fun lets list things!!!

authors: David Sedaris, Phillip Levine. Movies: Zombie land, leaves of grass, machete. TV: walking Dead, arrested development, Kroll show. Music: Cursive, The Good Life, Wilco, Cold War Kids, Beirut. Food: Pizza, thai, Mexican.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
A better word to express my sentiments.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
working, studying, writing. hemorrhaging brilliance with nothing more than a blinking cursor.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once met a girl who had just finished self releasing her life story. We talked about writing, my education in the profession and her lack there of. She went on to tell me that writers were more likely to get recognized and picked up by major publishers if they self publish.
This is wrong.
She was into some evangelical super Christian thing.
This is wrong.
She sold most of her first press at her fly by night church (rental conference room).
This is expected. No one else cares about your unprofessional Xerox copy novella. If someone did, a publisher would have picked it up, put it out, and made sure it sold.
I should have majored in rocket science; that way people wouldn't try so hard to express how qualified they are, despite their lack of education, to challenge my knowledge of the writing industry/art. I don't challenge the theories of propulsion and thrust because I didn't spend my under grad studying physics.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
When you have a story with no absolute result or evidence of it ever happening, it never happened. I am sick of people saying stupid things like "you're a writer? I write too!" I don't care if you write, we have all had to write at sometime. No I will not edit your attempt to sound intellectual by describing your writing as philosophical. No I well not let you read my early drafts or work in progress so you can compare how you are coming along in your own endeavors. I have literally died finding the bravado to compose my pages and I spent a shit load of money to gain the education necessary to attain the attention of respected literary minds.
Stipulations under which I will read/edit your shit.
1. Between $15-$20 a page.
2. Don't contact me yourself, have your agent contact me.
3. Send a prospectus out to various agents.

I paid to polish my craft, I intend to get paid when I exercise my knowledge and experience.

Or you can contact me in the interest of drinking a cup of coffee and smoking a joint.
