I am warm, relaxed, and retired. Easy to get along with and a great listener, I am calm and respectful of traditional values. My sense of humor and loyalty make me a good friend to have, at least that is what my friends say. I am looking for a caring and affectionate friend and companion. I am a retired teacher and currently involved in several community-based volunteer organizations. I like to spend time with friends dining out and going to movies, or just sitting around talking. I do some part-time work at a learning center mentoring kids who need academic help. When the weather is warm, I really enjoy being outside - sitting on my patio, gardening, taking walks in parks, and enjoying nature. There are a few more states in our wonderful country that I plan to visit.

I read a lot and especially enjoy mysteries and other fiction. I love most movies as long as there is not a long trail of blood or vampires. I like music that is "easy listening." My favorite food is anything that that someone else cooks...as long as it is not smothered in onions!

I could never do without books or my Kindle, music, good friends, my computer, lots of pillows on my bed, and chocolate.
