I really hate the self-summary portion of any application, and this certainly feels like an application...for dating. I've spent 28 years trying to figure out who I am and yet I still find it difficult to summarize everything.

About me. I was or perhaps still am an English Major. I have a soft spot for dogs. There is nothing better than a big, slobbery mutt, one you can grab by the ears and wrestle with.

I also enjoy being as absolutely goofy as possible, which is in sharp contrast from how people perceive me, which apparently is very serious. I'm not...well, sometimes I am. I have been known to stand on my soap box occasionally, but sometimes a person needs to be tickled as well. I don't really know what else to write, other than I think I'm a very multi-faceted person who requires much more than a page in order for someone to get to know me. But isn't that the beauty of relationships with individuals? Discovering just how deep and interesting they are or are not? I don't know...fuck it dude, let's go bowling.

I also spend a decent amount of time beating the shit out of myself by running or biking as much as possible. So if either of those things interests you, I'm always looking a running/riding buddy.

I graduated from Drexel last spring. I currently bartend until I either find a real job or join the peace corps. I was in the Navy for 5 years prior to College, so I've been all over, but I'm currently pretty happy here in Philly.

Browsing Reddit. Also, being an all around decent person I think. I work really hard, I try to be a kind person at all times, I love my friends and family even though I don't always show it. I know that is ambiguous as fuck, but you can't expect to learn everything about a person from a few brief paragraphs.

I'm also really good at being a passionate individual. I think this needs to be stressed here. I have some strange opinions mixed in with my fairly pedestrian opinions, but I'm immensely passionate about all of them and I defend myself and my choices quite adamantly. I'm not a nut but if you dislike someone routinely standing up for their beliefs, you and I might not get along.

Probably my eyes or my facial hair, whatever length it happens to be at the time. I hope people notice my usually positive, up-beat demeanor after that, but I don't think they do.

I think I can come off as very serious. Perhaps it's because I don't smile much. That just means you have to work hard for the prize, because when someone makes me smile and laugh, they have truly earned it.

I go through pretty large cycles with my leisure interests. I'm currently reading a lot of non-fiction. A lot of Noam Chomsky, books on Buddhism, some philosophy and the occasional fictional story. I'm pretty giving with my books, and will gladly trade anything I own that I have read for something that I haven't. I believe books are meant to be shared, and never hold onto a book strictly for possession.

I could go on about music forever. It's best to just ask me.

I don't really watch much television or many movies, but when I do, I enjoy something not quite as disturbing as Keeping up with the Kardashians. So Anthony Bourdain, Breaking Bad, Workaholics, Tosh and Archer. And I'm currently trying to finish BSG, so please don't ruin it for me.

And I'm a human garbage disposal. I'm constantly eating, and the absolute quickest way to my heart is through my stomach. Not cooking for me, I actually enjoy doing the cooking, but sitting down and enjoying a good meal with me. Eating nice and slow, talking...you know, the shit that most people don't do anymore.

And I would have put my dog on here, but seeing as how she recently passed away and I'm still living, I guess she doesn't make the list.

My future. If I'll ever figure it the fuck out, and if anyone ever really does figure it out, or if they just fake it better than me. That's an all consuming process. And other really bizarre stuff.

I also fantasize way too much about opening a micro-brew. I will make this dream a reality.

Bartending or out with my friends getting weird, one of the two.

That I am very scared about my future, and that I probably should spend more time figuring it out.

You love keyboard cat. Or if you love sleeping with the windows open in the summertime, no sheets, enjoying the night air. Or if you love walking around in the grass barefoot. Or if you think a passionate kiss is better without tongue.

Or if you miss the 90's for the sole reason that rap hasn't been the same since. That's right, I listen to rap music. Rappers are the under appreciated poets of our generation. Future generations will be amazed to learn that we failed to recognize them as such while they were still active.
