I am a professional, independent woman who has been retired for several years. I am a goal oriented person who certainly did not plan on being single at this age. However I have embraced the change and look forward to whatever is in store for me. I approach life with a smile everyday and am looking for the same from a partner who will share my values and all the joy life has to offer. I have the support of many friends, good health and a very positive attitude. My immediate family live on the West Coast and I have no children, pets, elderly parents to care for or past baggage. I attend aerobic and yoga classes regularly at the gym and love walking around town and in parks.

Shopping in large cities is fun, however, I will go out of my way to buy local and attend local festivals, restaurants, events and concerts.

I am most passionate about travel. Really does not matter if it is in the USA or overseas...an island or a big city...if I have been before or not. I would be flexible if my partner wanted to continue working as long as it did not require being "tied down."

I am seeking in a relationship those joys of being with someone that are currently missing from my life...companionship, shared conversations and experiences, new interests, and touch. If my partner has extended family that I could be a part of that would be an added bonus.

The time available now that I am retired has allowed me to give more to my community by actively belonging to civic groups and supporting various projects.

I enjoy historical fiction set in North Carolina and the Appalachians as well as biography. Reading guide books, fiction, watching documentaries and movies as preparation for overseas travel is also a favorite.
