Man, I just bought a house so that's what my life is at the moment. Those things take some work. I seem to have spots of 'Oregon Trail' brown, 'Moss' green and 'Creamsicle' orange all over me like painter-pox.
Ive been considering things like wallpaper and window treatments, which is weird.
I'm a designer by trade so I'm used to doing all this for someone else but it's different when it's your own home. Then again I don't often get to couple 'Pacific sunset with Palm Tree' wallpaper with bamboo furniture and a coin operated vibrating bed...and that's just the guest room.

If you thrive on the structure and predictability of a regular 9-5, we probably won't fit. I'm freelance and my schedule is not predictable. The up-side to that is, if you are spontaneous, I occasionally find myself with a week or 2 off and a desire for adventure.
