My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Ray and I'm a graduate student in the Aerospace Engineering department. Science has always been my passion, but I also wanted to be a psychologist, a professional musician, and a fiction writer when I was growing up. When I have some free time, I usually enjoy reading fiction novels or comic books, as well as checking out the local food scene. Recently, I've picked up the hobby of cooking because good food is expensive!

Personality-wise, I am generally pretty silly and self-mockingly sarcastic. I have few friends, but they are all people I can trust my life to. In general, I try my best to be kind to the people I meet without being softhearted when harsh things need to be said, but it's a tough line to draw sometimes.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm planning on getting my PhD in aerospace engineering, and then working for a while. I might return to academia to be a professor when I have saved up enough money, as I love to teach and do research. The job security is also very helpful.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm not particularly talented at anything, nor do I find anything particularly difficult to learn.

In terms of skills I have, I would say that I'm well versed in math, physics, most racquet sports, piano, flute, writing, and cooking.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Apparently, it's my voice. Evidence:
Once, a bunch of friends and I were chatting in a noisy classroom, and somehow we were on the topic of mathematical inverses of real-life things. And then someone asked what the inverse of shit is, and I replied "Isn't it just food? If you think of our body as an operator, food is inverse shit." And then everyone in the ENTIRE classroom stopped talking and looked over at me. And I wasn't speaking very loudly either...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love all forms of music, but I have a soft spot for classical music, especially Beethoven and Bach. I'm pretty much always down to go to a live concert.

My favorite book series is probably Animorphs. People make fun of me for it all the time, but I still think it's one of the best stories ever told. In general, science fiction is my favorite genre. However, being a researcher in the field usually makes me way too picky, so I find myself enjoying fantasy novels more often.

I love playing video games, and I am a proponent of competitive gaming. My favorite single-player game is the Metal Gear Solid franchise, which I think has one of the most profound storyline ever conceived. As for competitive gaming, I think Super Smash Bros. Melee has the deepest competitive gameplay, and is therefore the most rewarding and enjoyable.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My consciousness.
2) My friends.
3) Freedom.
4) Sleep
5) A good story.
6) Food made for enjoyment.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-Why the plural form of moose isn't meese. Like, I know the word has blah blah origin and thus it follows certain grammatical structures, but why not unify/deconstruct everything?
-Why the entropy of the universe is ever increasing when all fundamental forces are conservative forces.
-The well-being of people around me.
-My research on adaptive controls.
-The next story I'm gonna write.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
-Hanging out with my friends
-Playing video games
-Reading a book
-When life gets bad, in a dimly-lit computer lab running simulations for research.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once got Achilles tendinitis from sleeping.

you're interested. Just as a conversation starter, it would be cool if you provide an ending to the following scenario:

You wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of horses neighing. Your horses are trained to remain quiet at night, so you wonder what could be causing them to be so riled up. You decide to go and calm them down. Just as you arrive at the stable, you hear a sound behind you and...
