My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm still in the process of filling this out, and feel hideously awkward about doing so, so bear with me please? Or just talk to me... that also works.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My shortness, that I'm blonde, how hilariously thick my glasses are, that I'm holding some form of caffeinated beverage most of the time.

I'm certain I'll miss at least one of my absolute favourite things from this list, but here goes...
Books: David Foster Wallace, Dave Eggers, Margaret Atwood, Kurt Vonnegut, Barbara Kingsolver, John Le Carré, Michael Chabon, Jonathan Lethem... Steven Hall's The Raw Shark Texts was amazing, and I'm eagerly waiting for him to write another novel.
Also comics, of all shapes and sizes. I was a massive DC fangirl, but I'm still fuming about the new 52 and Marvel have been thoroughly on form for the past few years so... they get ludicrous amounts of my hard earned cash now.
Shall I put a playwrights bit on here, or is that a terrible thing to do?
Telly: Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Sherlock, The Hour (I've still got my fingers crossed for Series 3. It's never going to happen), Girls, Doctor Who, Peep Show, Orange is the New Black, The League of Gentlemen, The Mighty Boosh
Films: Most Wes Anderson (but especially Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums), Empire Records, I just saw Frank and that was blooming marvellous, Une Femme est Une Femme, A Life Less Ordinary...
Music: I enjoy things with synths, a whomping great string section, trumpets, a good beat and / or someone with an acoustic guitar singing forlornly. But with synths in the background. I don't know - I feel like I used to have really specific music tastes, and as I've gotten older I just like what I like, and it tends to be quite eclectic. Over the past few days I've mostly been listening to Lorde and Arcade Fire *shrugs*
Food: FOOD! Mexican (especially enchiladas and taquitos), curry, steak, ridiculous gourmet hot dogs, cake, fancy French pastry type things, toast, energy drinks. A few months ago I tried lobster for the first time and I am totally converted, it was so good. Also wine.
