My self-summary
I have done a lot of things and seen a great many places here in the US. I would love to tell you my story and hear yours. I could describe my beliefs but, because I think for myself, it takes time. I don't fit neatly into a box. My goofy, corny, not PC (full of double and even triple entendres) sense of humor gets me in trouble sometimes. I am looking for someone who is also unique and funny. A woman who "gets it". A woman who has lived but not let all that living dull her sense of wonder and enjoyment of life. I like to laugh and have fun and I try not to worry about embarassment. And now for my life story in a large nutshell. I am a DC/Potomac native who went away for 30 years and came back about six years ago. I am an optimist.
I am liberal when being liberal makes common sense and conservative when being conservative isn't too incredibly greedy, cold, bigoted and elitist. I am a liberal patriot. I hate the wars we are waging but hold the soldiers and their families in the highest regard. I love this country because if something is wrong you can change it. I went to college in California and taught Sex Ed in a tiny town in Nevada for two years and had a baby boy now 22 then taught Biology for almost 18 years more and had another baby boy now almost 21. I was a coach, a political activist at times and all around a pillar of society but, I was miserable. I ended up divorced and severely depressed and resigned from my teaching career and my family who mostly still live in the DC area got worried about me and convinced me to come home. I did real estate with my Dad and his team for a couple of years and then found a faith based community that provides homes for life for adults with intellectual disabilities. I have started 3 businesses and am taking classes in education that will qualify me to reup my teaching credential. So far the most lucrative has been my real estate career. My life is good. All I need now is the unconditional love of an attractive, funny, passionate, romantic, compassionate, woman. If you think you might be the one to make my life complete drop me aline.
What I’m doing with my life
Getting fit. I have gotten into the 5 to 7:30 AM go to the gym and swim and then do an hour on the elliptical thing again. Working hard to grow my real estate career and not so hard on my tutoring and helping people downsize in a green and socially conscious way business. I have started a business which facilitates donations to several local charities rather than letting stuff go to the dump mostly for people are down sizing or moving. Buying the cargo van to really get that going soon.I am taking classes to keep my teaching credential and am starting a tutoring business. I have begun training for a triathalon.
I’m really good at
Meeting people, helping people and making people laugh. Writing, catching cat fish, playing soccer, adapting to changing conditions and looking on the bright side of things, starting a camp fire, changing the subject. I am not good at but enjoy dancing to my own beat with no particular steps in mind, surfing, skiing, painting, gardening, bicycling.

1) laughter
2) love and 4 other things

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Doing good. Being ridiculous(my design for a kinetic sculpture for the race next year). You Maybe. Does the idea of camping on the beach, paddle board lessons, floating a river for a few days and spending the night in a tree house, snow skiing or boarding , floating the Upper Potomac and camping without the tree house, cycling the length of the C&O canal and camping and or staying at bed and breakfasts along the way appeal to you? These are not invitations ...yet. More of a screening tool. I plan on doing all these things in the next few years but, it would be way better to snuggle down with the one I love each night in any of these locales. And the journey would be more enjoyable laughing and talking to someone besides myself along the way and or enjoying long silences together.
On a typical Friday night I am
Movies, concerts, lectures, hanging out with a friend...............
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'll need to get to know you better. One that's not so private. I like drinks that taste good ( sweet cocktails and sweet wine and beer that's cold). I believe if you have to "acquire a taste" for something it must taste pretty bad.
