My Self-Summary

A self-summary...hmmm...where do I begin? Okay, truth, I'm a workaholic, addicted to caffeine and terrible at crossword puzzles. I love to read, especially travel novels by Peter Mayle. I actually have a favorite plant (not a favorite flower) called Nepenthes. Side effect of the Biology degree, really. When I can get away before sundown, I enjoy running, especially during the Spring when all of the flowers are blooming. Yes, I know, it's girly. But most of all, I love the feeling of getting home at the end of the day, opening a bottle of wine, cooking something from Trader Joes, and watching Glee...and knowing that I earned it.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm an Environmental Engineer at a construction company. I love it. Granted, I have my days where I daydream about quitting my job, but the people at my work are family. They are worth every bad moment.

This one's hard...

Books: Hotel Pastis, Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination, Faking It, Eat Cake, Brisinger, All Sherlock Holmes Stories, Restoring Grace, Etc.

Movies & TV: It's hard to nail down all of my favorites, but off the top of my head I would say...Princess Bride, The Goonies, The Italian Job, The Holiday, Penelope, Take the Lead, Chocolate, Monsoon Wedding, A Good Year, Knocked Up, Pushing Daisies, House, Bones, Glee, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, True Blood.

Food: I enjoy all kinds of food. Flautas at Tlaquepaque, Puerco at Habana Cuba, Gnocchi at Il Postale, sushi (hmmm...I love sushi), Indian Food at Amber India, and on and on.

The six things I could never do without

I could never do without my family and friends, but here are some small things I always need:

1. A good book to read before bed.
2. A cold glass of Hefeweizen at the end of a long summer day.
3. My favorite pair of jeans.
4. Soy white mocha from Elva's Coffee Stop.
5. Hulu.com.
6. Music. Some Dave Matthews always calms my nerves.
