BOOKS about the occult, hauntings, dreams, erotica, espionage and historic fiction. Would be great if I could get all the above in one book. Hate any book that spans seven generations. Love great word play and tense splice-of-life psycological dramas.

MOVIES: Sirens; Waking Ned Devine; Gladiator; Downton Abbey; romantic comedies. Even if tawdry or juvenile, as long as its original, I'll like it. If its a complete retred (think Pirates of the Carribean IV or Scream 12 through 19) I'm probably not going to be a fan. Bad art direction and lighting is a problem for me too.

FOOD: ambiance is important. I'm a carnivore. But I do believe in a healthy balance and am learning not to pulverize vegetables when I cook them. As a couple, we meet and match our dietary preference.

SHOWS: hmmmm… I had a dramatic upbringing with musicals.

Fireplace. The Outdoors. Sex. A sense of Humor. Love. A role in lives other than my own.

Design and interesting creative expressions. How to meet more people. How to spend my time more productively (a little less me, a little more giveback). I spend time thinking about our country and its polarizing politics of good intent absent a willingness to craft a better-of-both-evils solution so we can move forward as a nation. I think about how to take my success in friends, family and business and do something that is more than replication.

Sadly, of late I'm usually planning dinner for one and hoping there's something good in my netflix queue. Hence… O.K.Cupid.

Now what would I PREFER to be doing on a Friday nite?
Signing into a historic B&B with a woman that makes me laugh and helps lift the luggage. Good food, good wine, followed with fantasies for the two of us. Come morning, we arise, don our spandex and cycle a less traveled road as the mist dissolves along a river gorge. Destination: a coffee shop where you can buy ammo, but there's no coffee available. (heh. I'm not that creative. This actually happened. Except I was with guy cyclists). Equally alternative mornings: coffee and a good read, an antique shop(s) or winery if too exhausted to do the cycling. I might actually be the first to suggest just coffee on the porch and good read.

Think I'll skip this one.
