I am gregarious, clever, and flirty.
My Self-Summary
I never had time to complete any of the essays, so thought I'd take
a moment to type just a bit. I feel as if something is missing in
my life at the moment and I can't pinpoint exactly what it could
be. I'm quite busy and active, but sometimes, I just don't feel a
connection with those I'm around. I use to love going out with
friends hiking, or dancing and just messing around, now there
doesn't seem to be enough time to be free like that again. I guess
I'm just searching for someone with whom I could discuss tons of
topics with from music and books to sports and perhaps move toward
other activities. Just like everyone else, I want to have fun and
get to know new people. I like to travel and see new places as well
– maybe that’s part of what I’m missing. It’s been awhile since
I’ve been able to travel to a new place. Anyway, that’s just a bit
about me. I know this sounds vague, but at this point it's all I’m
willing to share. Unless you want to ask me specific questions,
then I’ll see about giving more details.
What I’m doing with my life
Working and volunteering with at-risk children at an elementary
school. I'm also writing a bit here and there. Working with a local
soccer association and serving on their BOD.
I’m really good at
working with kids, coaching softball/soccer, writing, cooking,
witty conversations, and have been told I'm am an exceptionally
good kisser - just saying...
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes and my smile/dimples – I’ve had strangers in line at
stores, cashiers, and kids parents tell me how gorgeous my eyes are
and then when I smile, they comment on my dimples.
My best friend and his buds always mention two other things, but
honestly, I tell them they are rather cheeky and quite cliché.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I have an eclectic taste in most things art related. As for music
that can include anything from good classic rock to bluesy rock up
to good orchestral to electronica/dance music. Some of the groups
on my MP3 include-Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Save Ferris, Rooney,
Kelly Clarkson, All-American Rejects, Evanescence, James Taylor,
Justin Nozuka, FeFe Dobson, Lenny Kravitz, Alexz Johnson, Staind,
well, I could keep going, but this is enough for now.
I love to read any really good piece of fiction. By good, I mean
being really well written with descriptive imagery that allows you
to lose yourself in the words and storyline. I don’t really care
for pop-culture series along the lines of Twilight – yes, probably
didn’t make very many friends stating that, but that’s okay. Not
going to pretend to have read it if I haven’t. Just to name a few
that I have enjoyed: Toni Morrison’s Beloved, Nora Neal Hurston’s
Their Eyes Were Watching God, many of Stephen King’s novels, also a
big fan of John Milton’s Paradise Lost. I told you I had a rather
varied taste in all things art.
As for works of art, I love most paintings that aren’t pop-artish
or paint splatters. I enjoy drawing and have painted a mural for a
kid’s room. But I’m funny when it comes to my drawings and my
writings. If I’m not in the mood, I can’t force it…I just have to
focus on something else for awhile and allow my creativity to
recharge.
The six things I could never do without
music, moments of complete and utter silence, something good to
read, traveling, lap-top and the touch of skin/kissing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life and death. I think about life, because I always wonder how I
can make my life a true success and find happiness. Death, because
I recently lost my mom - it was unexpected and I still miss her.
On a typical Friday night I am
at a local sporting event or just hanging out with family or
friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm uncomfortable divulging anything remotely private, because I'm
rather hesitant when it comes to trusting people. It takes a bit to
gain my trust and if you break that trust, well it’s hell trying to
earn it back.
You should message me if
you want to ask me something or just willing to correspond a bit.
