If I'm not traveling you can find me at beaches, ball parks, farmers markets, bookstores, wineries, theaters or exploring the nooks and crannies of a new neighborhood. I'm open mind and connect with most with people who are the same, even if we have opposite points of view.
I have an adventurous and independent spirit and I'm always hoping to learn and create more memories from the next journey whether on a trip or in my backyard. Maybe that's why I have a slight obsession with globes and vintage maps? I like to remember where I've been.
Is it possible to be an optimist and a realist? If so I am. I'm a teaser, if you can't take it we aren't a match. If you are having a pity party for one everyday, you get no love from me. Humor initiates endorphins... I'm a sucker for silliness and sarcasm.
I hate to say I'm a foodie, the word is so overused. Really who isn't a foodie in the Bay Area? But cooking and exploring the world through a culinary lense really has enriched my life. Cooking is my artistic outlet and something I never tire of doing or learning. Hopefully you have an adventurous palate and can be a taste tester for my cooking experiments. If you don't have one yet, I'm willing to be the one to introduce you.
I'm looking for someone who is intelligent, thoughtful, funny, is committed to being healthy, driven, affectionate, has integrity and a strong sense of self, loves to travel or is open to start, and has a little special edge and individuality about them. Someone who treats everyone respectfully. Being rude for no reason is a deal breaker for me.
And someone who can hang out anywhere and have fun. The airport on an overnight unplanned layover, the boring corporate dinner, the backyard BBQ with screaming kids, funky festivals, flea markets and garage sales, hiking the east bay hills, the obligatory awkward distant family dinner, random foreign film festivals with sometimes wonderful but horribly depressing movies, learning to forage in Golden Gate Park, or last minute travel to as close or as far as the journey takes us.
