My self-summary
One note: I cannot see who favorited me, so it is a waste of time to do so. Why not send a nice hello instead?

On a typical day I would wake up 15 minutes before my alarm goes off, then lay there in the dark pondering if I should try to go back to sleep again, until my alarm goes off making it a moot point. Why do I do that? I am a tremendous optimist, a strong willed, confident man. Some may say stubborn, but I refuse to believe them. It also could just be my dog woke me up and won't let me go back to sleep without giving her breakfast. One of my favorite things, besides being outdoors in the spring (everyone says that outdoor thing right?), is trivia. It's one thing to know a tomato is a fruit in botanical terms, it's another to know not to put it in a fruit salad because it is considered a vegetable in culinary terms. Learning and constantly trying to better oneself is important to me. The proper use of the tomato should be important to everybody. I mean really people! Also humor, a day without laughter is a day wasted. Although a day wasted is probably St. patrick's Day. If you'd like to know more, contact your local library. Because knowing is half the battle! You could probably also just send me an email or something too, ya that may be easier.
What I’m doing with my life
Always learning, trying new things, looking for new interesting people to chat with about new ideas, mostly just making it up as I go along.
I’m really good at
I've been told I'm a good listener. I'm an information sponge, and just love learning something new. One of my hobbies is gardening, I'm really good with plants and animals, it just comes naturally. I'm learning to cook, so hopefully I can brag on that soon!
The first things people usually notice about me
That's a tough one, I'm not really sure. Perhaps my height?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Really I like a show with strong, quirky characters. Some of my all time favorite movies include Aliens, Ghostbusters, The Shawshank Redemption, Slap Shot, and Monty Python's Holy Grail. I sometimes like to tell people my favorite movie all time is a foreign film (The Good, the bad and the ugly).

Music: I listen to everything basically. My favorite genre is blues, but since that's not on the radio much, mostly classic rock, hard rock or sometimes country. They say music is a lot like candy bars, getting through the rappers is the toughest part.

TV: The Mentalist, Elementary, South Park, Community, Archer, Breaking Bad was also an amazing show. My all time favorite show is probably Frasier. Everyone talks about how high brow it was, but it could often be quite goofy and slapstick at times.

Books, Ender's Game, The Hitchhiker's Guide series, The Lord of the Rings, and various, diverse blogs.

On a typical Friday night I am
I'm not sure there is such a thing as a "typical" Friday night. I plead the 5th on the grounds that it may incriminate me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I know what a tetraquark is, but not how it's put together, but then no one does yet.
