My self-summary
How do you describe yourself in a paragraph, or even a page for that matter? The best way to find out what I'm like is to meet me in person. Baring that just send me a message.

That being said, my name is Brianna. I'm a proud Canadian-American who is opinionated, passionate, honest to the point of being blunt, loyal till the end for my friends, and terrible at spelling (thank God for spell check!).
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently working for Pepsi in logistics in Schaumburg. I love the company but not sure I want to stay in logistics for the rest of my career. I would love to move back to Canada or Europe. I'm hoping that I can find a way to use my love of travel and exploring new places to launch my career.
I’m really good at
That's for me know and you to find out :)
Well sort of... it just seems a bit conceited to me to list off the things you are good at. Besides isn't good a relative term?

After that lovely disclaimer, I will admit I like doing the following things, so I hope that after all the time I've spent on them I'm "good" at them.
Cooking
Baking
Swimming
Political Debates, particularly making an argument so utterly absurd and ridiculous its not even an argument just an exercise in futility only by using technicalities. What can I say it's an art :P
The first things people usually notice about me
I've been told it's my smile and outgoing personality. I guess that's what comes from working so many years in customer service :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love to read. Sadly I haven't had as much time to lately. However when I do read I like to read fiction, science fiction or romance novels or really anything else that peaks my interest. What I'm reading depends on my mood when I pick up a book. At the moment I'm devouring what my friends call brain candy, or as the rest of the world knows them romance novels.

Ok so I have an admission to make. I don't own a TV. Blasphemy, I know, but there you have it. I find that watching TV eats up too much of my time that I'd rather spend doing other things. One moment I'm getting ready to go out then... oh hey moving images! Next thing I know I've wasted an hour watching something I can't remember two days later. That's not to say I mind TV, just that I'm easily distracted by it. I may or may not watch the occasional episode of America's Next Top Mode online, but I can't be entirely certain... ;)

Movies are a somewhat different story. While I do get teased that I live under a cultural rock (what can I say, pop culture, it doesn't interest me), I do like to go out to the movies. If I've got a few minutes I'm generally watching a trailer or looking at a clip on youtube. I like most genres of film but I tend to stay away from horror. Horror films end up being either too scary (I stay awake and can't sleep. Not good for a girl who loves her sleep) or so cheesy I feel like it was a waste of time. As for favourites, well I'm a disney fan but beyond that it's always changing. Some movies in the past that I've enjoyed: How to Train Your Dragon, The Dark Knight, Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Hobbit, Memoirs of a Geisha, Transformers all of them(what can I say there's just something about giant robots doing jitsu that I find cool.) and 27 dresses.

As for food I don't think I've ever met anyone with a bigger sweet tooth than mine. I like to say my favourite food is dessert, if it's sweet chances are I'll like it! Hard to believe I'm trying to give up sugar! Crazy I know, but there it is. One of my new years resolutions was to try and eat healthier. I know I eat way too much sugar so, that's where I'm going to start. That being said I love to cook and bake. With my new resolution I'm finding great new ways to cook and bake without sugar as well as exploring new cuisines. I'm willing to try making just about anything once so if you have a great recipe just send me a message. The one thing I'm not too keen on, as far as food goes, is spicy food. I'm trying to get better but I just can't seem to handle much spice. Ah well, live learn and then have more yoghurt ready :D

Music: I listen mostly to top 40 but really it's what ever pops up for me on Pandora/ the radio. Lately I've been digging into house and classical.
The six things I could never do without
Friends
My Passports
A kitchen
A good book
Music
A bit of time alone to just chill
A good workout (Thank goodness for Crossfit!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Oh gosh, what don't I spend time thinking about! I'm always cooking up something in the back of my mind, be it a day dream, my to do list, a new recipe, a political or philosophical question or even planning my next vacation. Heck I've even been known to plot out global domination on my lunch break :)
On a typical Friday night I am
doing the same thing I do every night... try to take over the wold! (cue dramatic lighting)

No but seriously friday nights could go a few different ways.
1) I couldn't bear to drag myself out of bed for the morning WOD and decided that in penance I must go to one of the evening workouts. Upon completion I crawl home eat the first moderately edible thing I see and promptly collapse on the couch.
2) I'm out and about hanging with girlfriends. We could be downtown hanging with friends, chilling at one of our places or off on random suburban adventures like go carting.
3) Skypeing/Facetime my friends/family in other countries
4) Going out to the bar/sporting event to watch the game, meet people and have a blast.
5) I got super lucky and got a night to myself! So it's a chill night in reading, cleaning and pampering myself or generally doing girly stuff
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You know that girl singing and dancing in her car at the stop lights? Yeah that would be me... :)

  • Straight guys only
  • Ages 25–29
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
You want to. I'm not normally shy but meeting people online is intimidating, more so than meeting someone in person (or at least it is for me) so props to you if you do message me. I'll try my best to respond to every message. If you have any questions let me know and bonus points if you can make me laugh.
