My Self-Summary
I try to live in the moment. I enjoy books, movies, and video games
like any other person.
I occasionally write short stories and hope to write a novel some day. Noir crime fiction and stories with supernatural realism float my boat, as do comic books.
I play guitar and enjoy it thoroughly, but I'm definitely not "the guy with the acoustic guitar", I can't stand people who are boastful about musical talent. I don't sing, no one would want that, trust me.
I am normally fairly composed but when certain things (i.e. pot or alcohol) are involved I can become supremely silly.
I have a love affair with my 5 O'clock shadow. It will never be permanently shaved off. Accept this and come to love it like I do.
I like the idea of Buddhism and Zen but find it extremely difficult to practice them in modern society with any sort of consistency, so I try to be Zen-like.

What I’m doing with my life
I am currently in college and have changed my major roughly three
thousand times. Currently its Japanese languages and literature and
I fully plan on actually getting my degree in this.
I spend most my free time hanging out with friends or playing guitar, sometimes both at the same time.
I work at a bookstore and retail is slowly but surely shattering my will to live. I must escape before I am turned into a retail zombie and spend the rest of my days behind a cash register mumbling things like "Would you like a Barnes & Noble Gift Card?"

Soul+Funk+Blues+R&B (60's and 70's, not that bullshit they pass for R&B these days) = all the best genres of music. If it contains elements of these I probably like it.
Current Obsessions: Booker T and the MG's, Sam & Dave, Silversun Pickups.
