I've always loved learning and experiencing new things. I read just about everything I get my hands on. I'm a news junky who's never shy about speaking my mind, and I enjoy nothing more than a good conversation.
I'm originally from the Midwest. I've lived in Connecticut since 2008. Being away from my family is tough sometimes but I love it on the East Coast, and I'm proud of what I've accomplished since I've been here. The past few years have easily been some of the most challenging yet most rewarding in my life. It's been a great experience and looking for someone to share it
What I’m doing with my life
Working, hanging out with friends, playing pub trivia.
I’m really good at
Making my friends laugh, but I'm sure everyone feels that way. I
have a bizarrely good memory when it comes to conversations. I'm an
encyclopedia of trivia and other generally useless bits of
information. I can be as tactful or as blunt as the situation
demands. I'm good at riddles, which is a completely useless skill.
Depending on who you ask, I'm a great story teller.
The first things people usually notice about me
People always notice the way I speak. I don't know if it's what I
say, the way I say it, or just the way my voice sounds. If I talk
to someone over the phone before I meet them in person, they seem
surprised the first time they see me, like they expected me to look
completely different. I think it's funny.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors I like, in no particular order, are: David Mccullough, Neal
Stephenson, Isaac Asimov, Haruki Murakami, Frank Herbert, Orson
Scott Card . . .
Favorite Movies: Brick, Dr. Strangelove, Miller's Crossing, Hot
Rod, Moon, District 9, China Town, Up . . .
Favorite T.V. Shows: House of Cards, Hannibal. I love cop dramas
like Law & Order and CSI. They're my guilty pleasure.
When it comes to food and I'll try anything once, and bring on the
spice; the hotter the better!
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out and grabbing a drink with friends, hopefully someplace
with live music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I haven't got any depth perception, which means I'm terrible at
