Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Self summary ... hmm
I'm currently in grad school earning my Ph.D. in mechanical and
aerospace engineering and am hoping to finish in about a year. I've
done tremendously well in the field having been published a few
times as well as earning a fellowship during my Masters degree.
Outside of work I'm very much a laid back guy, I enjoy going out
and having drinks with friends and family. I try to work out as
much as my schedule allows with a regular weight lifting routine
and some cardio thrown in. Joining me for a walk, run or in the gym
would be nice but certainly not required. Ladies have natural
beauty without having to lift weights. Probably the most dominant
characteristic about myself is that I always go back to problems I
couldn't solve and try a new approach. I have this mentality about
everything I do from my work, working out in the gym, even with
playing guitar. I started playing back in high school and I've
become pretty good.
My perfect match would be someone that could bring out the best in
me and likewise that I would bring out the best in you and mutual
attraction is a must. The common characteristic in great
relationships is that it becomes the goal of each person to make
the other person as happy as we can because their happiness adds to
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I once had a professor who told his students what the goals of an
engineer are and here is me paraphrasing them. “Earn engineering
degree, create your own product, become successful, and drive
As of now I'm a funded, published, post qualifying graduate
student, which just means I passed the qualifying examination and
am an official PhD candidate. I guess my official title would be a
graduate assistant or fellow.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Anything I put my mind to.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
You can tell me on our first date.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Just about everything and I'm never afraid of trying something
different at least once.
Shows I have kinda kept up with:
True Blood, Bored to Death, Weeds, The Big C, Dexter, Boardwalk
Empire, Game of Thrones, Hung, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Nurse Jackie,
The Fifth Element, The Shawshank Redemption, The Legend of 1900, V
for Vendetta, Four Rooms.
I have a very wide taste in music, I can listen to just about
everything except some rap/R&B. I usually listen to classic
rock, pop type songs from just about any decade, or instrumental
rock including Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, John
Petrucci, etc... Lately I've been listening to EDM music,
especially when working out.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1.) Life, Liberty, and the freedom to pursue Happiness.
4.) Intellectual and physical challenge
6.) Between 1 and 4 I'm probably over the limit.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I've had Fridays where I work on research, go out with friends, go
to a new restaurant. Really there isn't a "typical" Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It's a bit frustrating when someone rates my profile and I have to
pay to find out. I know, it's not really a "most private thing I'm
willing to admit" comment.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Message me if you're a fun person and won't play too many games
about meeting. Also if you think we'd get along you should message,
I don't really send too many out as so many profiles have the
dreaded red dot above their names.
Or if you go to Gold's Gym in Bridgewater, I'm always looking for
Lastly, all I really care about is that you're a kind person (at
least to me) and that we share a mutual attraction.
