I love this place. In the time I've been here, I've been out dining, dancing, drinking, hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, whitewater rafting, stargazing, boating, bike riding, motorcycle riding... I've been taken to parties, dances, shows, movies, concerts, festivals, flea markets, farmers markets...

In addition, I've had some wonderful offers and invitations here lately, from some pretty fabulous guys... cute, smart, funny, adventurous guys. Not just the usual drinks, dinner and walks on the beach, either... offers of exotic travel, foot rubs, pedicures, shoe shopping, full body massage, tongue baths, naked floor washing...

But the very best things I've received here, or anywhere else, for that matter, are love and friendship.

So what do you say we just sit, have a drink, if you'd like... a nice conversation, maybe even take a walk if it's nice out... Okay?

And I'm completely serious about receiving all of those offers. It's probably not allowed, but you guys really ought to log in as girls sometime, see what it's like at this end of the inbox. You will be amazed. And amused. Or maybe you'll hate us for having so much fun. But I guarantee you... you'll never see this place the same way again.

My mother was a librarian; I grew up in the library, so I love it all. I love the way a book conveys another's thoughts across all barriers of space and time. There are several authors who can make me say, "Thanks, but I have other plans tonight", but I honestly doubt you need me to list them here. But if you really like to talk books, I'd be happy to put my hair up in a bun and don my thick glasses and pencil skirt. Anytime.

I haven't had TV in years, I'd rather live life than watch it.

My musical tastes are wide; I listen to a lot of music. But my playlist probably has a lot more banjo than yours. And a lot more Jerry Garcia.

I play the mandolin, and while not particularly skilled or talented, I love the energy shared when playing with others. I'm always looking for new people to play with. And dancers, too... I love to dance.

I've learned that there is very little I can't do without, other than the mandatory air, water and food. To thrive, I would add love, beauty and passion, but I'm not sure where each of those ends and the next begins.
