My self-summary
"... A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing..."
What I’m doing with my life
Spending my days as a freelancing contractor in the exciting field of software engineering. Goal is to develop my own product(s) while achieving financial independence and a healthy work-life balance.

I'm into a whole bunch of activities, including:
...road cycling, mountain-biking, hiking, snowboarding, as well as running (all weather).

I want to go on a cycling trip across Canada before I'm 30.
(yes... West to East all the way!)
I’m really good at
Working with my hands - building, fixing and hacking things together to make them do what you want.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: mostly non-fiction on the subjects of economics, management, history, and that broad area of study that's best described as "applied" philosophy.

Music: I surprise myself sometimes by the variety of genres that I'm willing to listen to. Depending on the mood, of course!

Cuisines: Indian, Thai, Japanese (sushi), Mexican

Food items: cheese, freshly-baked bread, mango, dried cranberries, original-flavored potato chips, raspberries, did I mention cheese?

Beer: the darker the better
Guinness, Wellington Dark Ale, etc.

Wine: fuller-body reds
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz
The six things I could never do without
1. Time
2. Freedom
3. Inspiration

... and on a less epic note:

4. Friends
5. Internet
6. Bagels for breakfast
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Socioeconomic issues and social issues in general
Traffic congestion problems
What's for dinner
On a typical Friday night I am
Working on a project or catching up with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sometimes listen to classical music on the radio, when I'm alone in my car. Especially on my way to work, on snowy winter mornings.

Also, heard this on the radio and liked it:

Also I REALLY like back-rubs.
I’m looking for

  • Who are single

You should message me if
... you are:

Intelligent, rational, kind, hard-working, adventurous, active, looking for companionship

You are familiar with the Pareto principle (The 80:20 rule) and you apply it often.

The thought of wine & conversation sounds appealing to you ;)
