Spending my days as a freelancing contractor in the exciting field of software engineering. Goal is to develop my own product(s) while achieving financial independence and a healthy work-life balance.

I'm into a whole bunch of activities, including:
...road cycling, mountain-biking, hiking, snowboarding, as well as running (all weather).

I want to go on a cycling trip across Canada before I'm 30.
(yes... West to East all the way!)

Working with my hands - building, fixing and hacking things together to make them do what you want.

That I'm not Asian.

Books: mostly non-fiction on the subjects of economics, management, history, and that broad area of study that's best described as "applied" philosophy.

Music: I surprise myself sometimes by the variety of genres that I'm willing to listen to. Depending on the mood, of course!

Cuisines: Indian, Thai, Japanese (sushi), Mexican

Food items: cheese, freshly-baked bread, mango, dried cranberries, original-flavored potato chips, raspberries, did I mention cheese?

Beer: the darker the better
Guinness, Wellington Dark Ale, etc.

Wine: fuller-body reds
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz
