I'm a student/writer/minimum wage drudge. I'm a little wary of confident people; they make me wonder what they're refusing to think about. I love cats, though my cat in particular is kind of a bully. I wish I could just eat naan and grapefruit and wander around the house wrapped up in a blanket for the rest of my life. Or at least for a week or two :-)

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

going to class most of the time, running, writing and talking about writing and reading other people's writing, looking forward to starting that teaching assistantship next fall so I can quit my ridiculous job, thinking/reading about feminism and gay rights, and trying to learn american sign language.

-acting calm and giving advice. -self-motivating (usually) but also -doing things I know I shouldn't and enjoying the hell out of it. -being open-minded. -literary critique/ creative writing (lucrative skills :-)

I'm tall! And I have red hair. I'd say those are probably the most obvious things. Later on, people notice that I have a good sense of humor and I'm a little shy.

I love thai food, old movies, foreign films, off-beat indie films, contemporary poetry, anything wierd, anything new, joanna newsom, tegan and sara, deathcab for cutie, modest mouse, the beatles, leonard cohen, rufus wainwright, Todd snyder, eric leick, Mark bilyeu, david bowie. I like tv shows to be intelligent and character-driven, because I think they have the opportunity to really explore the psyche. that said, I'm in love with the Law and Order franchise, and I have no idea why.
