My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Call me a romantic, but I believe that all things are possible in life and love. Yes, I’ve been around the ol’relationship race track of marriage and long term relationships yet I'm still optimistic that there’s someone special to share the joy of this crazy thing we call life. Basically, I’m a kind fun-loving guy who easily laughs and who also enjoys the challenges of an entrepreneur; I value the idea of following one’s bliss – what’s your path? I’d love to learn and I’m always happy to share where mine has taken me.

I enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities – if it's a nice day it’s fun to go on a good hike, a bicycle adventure or tossing a Frisbee on the beach; when there’s time, camping is always a good call. Recently, I discovered kayaking which is a wonderful opportunity to see this awesome place we call home from a completely different perspective! Well, if you're thinking, is this guy a sports addict, I can assure you I’m not. There's plenty of time for all kinds of wonderful urban adventures museums, galleries, movies and theater - especially summer Shakespeare in the park – L.A. has a lot to offer.

My interests are eclectic. Generally speaking, there is precious little that I won't see, read or listen to at least once. I’m passionate about cooking and, in particular, making bread; my next project will be to build a wood-fired clay oven! Over the last year I've found my way back to yoga - taking classes again reminds me, on a physical and spiritual level, of the ideal of "conscious attention" - a way to walk in the world that I try to travel - not always with success but something to strive for in every moment.

Other things I like to do?...Well, what jumps out are taking in a good movie, listening to music and always appreciating the quiet time to just read a good book or the Sunday paper in bed - it's always tough to find the space and place for this kind of quiet down time but it's restorative and good for the soul - there's something magical about sharing this kind of space with someone you're intimate with...kind of a shared, yet personal, experience...sort of delicious if you know what I mean.

As far as politics and values go, I lean to the left-hand side of the radio dial and if you get the humor of Monty Python, Kids in the Hall, Second City or old SNL episodes then you’ll kind of get me. As for my values, remember, I’m the kind of guy who says, “the glass is always half-full!” – I’m someone who will look to first see the positive in those that I care and love. Heck, I even believe that, with the help of a good and kind woman, I will learn how to properly dance one day!!

On a more intimate level, I’m a pretty simple man. For me, the company of friends and family is what feeds my soul. Speaking of feeding, nothing makes a more satisfying day than going on a hike, to the beach or some urban adventure followed by an evening cooking, enjoying an adult beverage, conversation and good times with the people I love. It generally doesn't get much better than that! Ok, maybe it does…how about a romantic walk in the moonlight, sensuous kisses, a loving massage and waking up late in a sweet dreamy state after a blissful night together…magic moments all.

So who am I looking for? Well, here's my wish list: She's a magic woman! She's someone who is, generally, a positive and fun-loving person. She is passionate about life, love, family and friends. She's the kind of woman who is available and able to be in a relationship; someone who has the capacity to give as well as receive love - she turns, happily, towards love; she's someone I can be silly with and who can make me smile yet someone who will share, listen and be there emotionally for life's more challenging moments.

That's a long list but hey, why not put it out into the universe - you never know who will show up. When it's all said and done, I'm looking for someone who, like me, seeks a relationship that will grow and blossom into something special. I'm looking for someone to share the journey - mine, hers and, ultimately, ours!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to live a kind, generous, loving and happy life...that's pretty much the path. The day to day stuff involves gourmet food, urban planning, communications and (at this moment) some electric vehicles...go figure?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
hmmm....really, do I have to say? Ok, I like to think I'm good at listening, asking good questions and being present...I'm pretty handy around the kitchen and I've been told that I mix a good drink as well...quite probably there are other things that I'm "good at" but I'll let others be the judge of that.

Music? Ecclectic, for sure. From Dylan to the Dead, from Motown to Swing my playlists are all over the map. As for tv, I don't own one but, on occasion, I indulge in the guilty pleasures that HBO offers, Larry David, True Blood and Game of Thrones to name a few. Movies: Well, contemporary-wise, pretty much anything the Coen Brothers have to offer is worth seeing and I'll never get tired of Casablanca; Currently reading, David Foster Wallace, The Dude & The Zen Master as well as book on clay ovens and sourdough bread baking...That's a start!

As for food, it could be as simple as a great loaf of bread with cheese and wine to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to a multi-course gourmet meal. I'm an omivore who loves to cook; my criteria for yummy enjoyment is that whatever the meal should be it is made with intention, kindness and love.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order, Love, the company of good friends and family, passionate love-making, good food, unsolicited smiles and awesome sunsets!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think a lot about a lot of things...sometimes I try to let it go and find the space between the thoughts....man, that's way deep...even for me!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It varies but after a long week it would be nice to just hang out...to share the evening with those that I'm closest to...friends old and new (is that you?). Perhaps an evening with some good food, wine some good conversation or just video to ease away the work week...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Ahhh, whatever happened to cherishing the sense of mystery; the journey towards discovery; the longing to know; the vale of the unknown...I think that it will remain as such - at least in this box; better to share and discover through personal interaction, don't you think.
