My self-summary Propose an edit

I am a very shy person around new people, but can be loud and boisterous when I am comfortable. I am a hockey fan, and love to catch a game when ever possible. I also enjoy music, ask me about my favorites, and pick a genera because picking an overall favorite is too hard. I like concerts, and live performances. I travel when I have time, my favorite place is Hawaii on the tropical side, away from the tourists.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

Some times I am not sure what I am doing with my life in the larger picture. I know where my career is going. I started working as a developer designing custom content management systems. I moved on to working with databases doing data conversions. I am currently working as an Oracle Database Administrator(DBA) and enjoying it very much.

My personal life is more laissez fare. People come and go out of my life, I like to have people around, but when no one is around, I survive and find my own path.

Aside from working for a real company, I own my own company. It doesn't produce much income any more, but I don't spend much time on it any more. I am looking to start a join venture with one of my friends.

I'm really good at Propose an edit

Computers of course, I have spent the last 15 years of my life working on computers. I can program in over 20 languages, use 5 RDBMS, and have worked on about every OS on the planet. I can also work on hardware.

I like to wakeboard in the summer, I don't think I would say I am good at it, rather it is something I really like to do. I have never taken it very seriously, it's more an excuse to get my friends out on the boat in the summer.

I used to be a good dancer, but I haven't been in a very long time. I can fox trot, waltz, tango, and swing. I think the last time I was dancing was 6 years ago, so I am very out of practice.

My size. I'm a very large man, I stand 6'5". Some people are intimidated by my size.

The first thing they ask when they find out what I do, is how much money do I make, if you notice, I don't fill that in. Should that even matter? Lets just say I'm not poor, and not going to be asking you for a loan.

Books: I like things that I don't always understand. I am currently working my way through the Divine Comedy.

Movies: I have over 200 DVDs, and find new favorites all the time. I like dark movies like Boondock Saints, Good Fellas, and Suicide Kings.

Music: The blues, hands down B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Muddy Watter. I don't limit myself, I listen to metal, pop, classic rock, jazz, what ever my mood calls for!

Why I do what I do. What is the end game? I work incredibly hard but I am not sure why. I would like to have some one to travel with, some one to just enjoy life with me!
