My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm generally very easy going, and my sense of humor is a bit off the wall. I'm a fan of non-sequiters and terrible puns. I tend to be a bit reserved when I first get to know people, but get me laughing and I'll open up. I still love a lot of the nerdy things I grew up on, but I'm exploring new interests too. I never pass up an opportunity to learn something new and interesting, especially oddities from history. I worked in a science museum for 5 years so spaaace and dinosaurs are two of my biggest passions. No other form of vacation will ever top my love of camping. There's just something so perfect about laying in a hammock in the woods with a beer in my hand and the sun on my face.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just started a new job as an engineer testing industrial batteries for various military vehicles and satellites. It doesn't involve quite as many dinosaurs as my old job did, but I help put stuff in orbit which is still pretty cool.

Some of my other interests include: Hiking, camping, exploring, photography, cooking, rock concerts, listening to music, and reading.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, fixing things, tinkering, and stealing unique date ideas from the internet.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyebrows, apparently.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I buy more music in a year than is probably sane or reasonable. A few favorites: Judas Priest, Johnny Cash, Queen, Daft Punk, Halestorm, Flogging Molly, B. B. King, Gorillaz, Darby O'Gill, The Kelly Bell Band, Rainbow, Slayer, Doc Watson, The Notorious B.I.G., Cab Calloway, David Bowie, Louis Armstrong, Royksopp, and Tenacious D.

I absolutely love going to rock shows, and try to make it to at least one a year. This year I'm planning to go see Motley Crüe and Alice Cooper.

I'm finally finding more time for reading again. I've yet to meet a Michael Crichton novel I didn't like, and practically grew up on Stephen King and the Harry Potter books. I've been working my way through A Song of Ice and Fire, but have been poking in a few other novels in between each. My on deck list: "Lullaby" by Chuck Palahniuk, "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie, and "A Walk In The Woods" by Bill Bryson. Message me if you have any suggestions!

I could list TV shows for ages, but to keep it short: Doctor Who, Firefly, Arrested Development, Sherlock, and Battlestar Galactica sum up my tastes well.

For movies - If it's funny or a western, I'll love it. Some of my all time favorites though are Duck Soup, Monkey Business, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, and anything by Sergio Leone.

I'm also a big fan of podcasts, including The Bugle, Stuff You Missed In History Class, Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, and The Thrilling Adventure Hour.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-An mp3 player full of music
-A well stocked kitchen (I've been known to bake corn bread late at night if I can't sleep)
-Muddy trails
-A constant influx of useless trivia
-My favorite travel hammock
-Friends to go out nerding with
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The meaning of life. Particularly, what it would take to get Eric Idle to pop out of my fridge and start singing about space.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing the same thing we do every night, Pinky. Trying to take over the world!

...Or playing Magic with a bunch of my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I just bought a T-shirt with a T-Rex on it.
The T-Rex is wearing sunglasses.
It says "Ask me about dinosaurs!"
Feel free to do so.
You should message me if
