Hi, I'm Alec

I would say I'm a fairly outgoing person, I like to explore, a lot. This covers pretty much anything from wandering Beijing at 6am rather than take a taxi home (not the best idea I've had), to finding the fastest way to all the sandwich shops near the Uni.

I've got a dry, almost silly sense of humour which I'm not sure anyone (including myself) really understands and apparently really (really) strong coffee can set me off giggling like a little girl.

Day to day I like doing sports, I got a bit addicted post London 2012 and am currently learning Squash and Archery. I'm yet to find a decent gym in Bristol and I'm supposed to be in training for Mudrunner later in the year.

I play guitar and attempt to sing (I used to be a tenor in a barbershop quartet) and quite enjoy performing at open mic nights.

I can be a bit of a nerd at times. I really enjoy computer games when I can actually get into the story (Think Final Fantasy, Mass Effect etc.) and I've got a few graphic novels stashed about the place.
On the flipside I really enjoy Snowboarding, Roller skating and Climbing. I will try almost any extreme sports (seriously, test me).

I've just moved back to Bristol to start work as an Engineer and to move back in with some of my old University friends. I rarely talk about my work (Frankly who finds Engineering interesting but Engineers?), but like to talk and try and learn about new things all the time. If you have an interesting hobby/job expect me to ask lots of questions about it!

Having only moved in officially at Xmas I'm currently trying to figure out sports clubs, gyms and get myself settled properly, what I'm really doing is going out to pubs and bars, playing computer games with the flat and spending far too much of my free time on Reddit when I should be doing something else.

I'm ginger? Does that count?
Some people think I look like Prince Harry. I don't agree with them. I remain adamant that it's just because we are both ginger, but as drunken people keep saying it I figure it's something people notice!

Out somewhere having drinks with friends, probably at least 50% of the time this will involve being in The White Harte playing pool, badly.

1. You like any of the things I like and fancy someone new to do them with (seriously, I need a climbing buddy!).
2. You just fancy a coffee or beer (cocktail even!) and a chat.
3. You're bored and might as well!
