My self-summary
I'm usually outside...

I've never considered myself a morning person, but I admit it's when everything's most clear.

I'm big Hokie football fan; road trips to Blacksburg? I grew up in southwest Pennsylvania and still follow Pittsburgh sports. I had such hope for the Pirates this's to finishing above .500 in 2013!

One PSA: I hate that I have to write this, but since this is the DC area... While I don't mind a spirited discussion; if you cannot accept the fact that a viewpoint different from your own is not wrong, I am not for you. If you can't retain your composure throughout the discussion, I really am not for you.
What I’m doing with my life
Saving the world one powerpoint presentation at at time
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
haven't asked anyone what they noticed first...will have to get back to you after I acquire enough delta
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Honestly, my taste in movies, and music are quite eclectic. In no particular order:

I'm more likely to rent a movie than watch TV. Some off the top of my noggin that stick with me: Crazy Heart, Mr. Roberts, The Quiet Man, Blazing Saddles, LA Confidential, Master & Commander to name a few. If I'm watching TV, it's usually something along on the lines of Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, etc.

Learn the types of music I like and you'll learn how to tell what kind of mood I'm in. My tastes again are wide open to include: Aerosmith, Metallica, Tim McGraw, Dr. Dre, Bloodhound Gang, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Green Day, Norah Jones, etc. Recently I've rediscovered Nirvana. A band I'd argue is my generation's Beatles.

Books, while my family members don't share much in common with each other, we are all voracious readers. I tend to lean towards historical and current events, though it's a rare to find me reading an autobiography...finding a bio that isn't biased is difficult; non biased autobio's don't exist. Ok, a few titles I'm a fan of: Kitchen Confidential, Freakonomics, With the Old Breed, Grant, America 1908.

I'm no food snob and definitely not knowledgeable enough to call myself a foodie, but I do enjoy a good meal. Half the experience is learning about the dish and its background. I'm always in the mood for a pizza, a steak, pasta, seafood, or a good burger. I enjoy a good whiskey or beer, not really a fan of vodka it's too "designer" for me. Hypocritical perhaps considering my taste in beer, but I like what I like.
The six things I could never do without
Oxygen, food, water, Vitamin A, B, & C. How overused is that joke?

Seriously, there's not much I need, I'm usually content with the basics in life. Besides, most of the things I really appreciate don't have a monetary value...desert sunrises, a mountain peak breaking through a low cloud deck, and this probably sounds cliche but, knowing I made a difference.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Work, food, family, and whether or not the honey badger really don't care...
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully not working. Usually meeting up with friends for a few beers. Occasionally turning in early to get a jump on the fish Saturday morning, or make it the the right spot for a good sunrise photograph. (which since I'm not a morning person is hell to do)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ask. I may surprise you.

Seriously though; I can't wink with my left eye.
You should message me if
you want to fill out a survey telling me the first thing you noticed about me.
