I recently moved from a brownstone in Gramercy to a highrise building on 42nd and 8th/9th lap pool, countertops, functioning oven, sunlight (none of which I had in my prior rodent-infested cave so I'm still kinda excited).... and getting used to the walk to the Times Square subway (and seeing more "local" theatre), which, since saturated with tourists, can actually be quite nice in the "folks here are smiling and happy to be here and not in a faux-ironic way but because they are on vacation in an iconic setting" type of way.

That said, I'd be happy to move. Like to Patagonia or Highclere Castle where I used to croquet (using that as a verb like they might do) or Iowa or a tropical island.

I am looking for a gal who is similar to, and interested in, aspects of the below:

Garden parties; darts/pool/pong/bowling/ mini-golf/ badminton; HORSE/six v. six soccer; "crafting" lobster rolls in Downeast Maine; picking blueberries; good films; good movies; The Onion; The Daily Beast; the beginning romantic montages in "Up" and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" (particularly the playful-serious boardwalk stuffed animal scene).

In school I played on soccer, basketball, tennis, rugby, football and softball teams. I won a shitty student film award but received a totally unfair Photography II grade. Tried to make up for that by working in film and media and have published articles and photographs. Like many a NYer, I am working on my novel. It is going to be AWESOME.

Commuting to Stamford for my in-house counsel law job; editing my sister's book; writing my own; planning my family's Gatsby party; trying to utilize my building's health club to get in better shape.

I have recently finalized a 13-hour playlist for a Garden party in Cambridge. I love music but am no audiophile.

Theatre / Broadway: Yes, please, right next door, although I pretty much only go when my folks are in town.

Putting aside either everyday things (i.e. smartphone) or ethereal (i.e. love, family):

1. Lobsters v. Clams annual softball game
2. Temporarily omitted
3. The idea that I will actually really truly start/ finish the book
4. Temporarily omitted
5. Crystal Light Ruby Red Grapefruit mix, but since I cannot find it anymore, I guess I can indeed live without it. Ditto, Four Lokko with alcohol.
6. I made a painting which/that demonstrates lack of talent and patience, but is colorful and difficult to replicate.

What song is better: "One Thing," or "I Want It That Way."

Reading something fun and frivolous in the building's jacuzzi, then some laps, then back to the jacuzzi and by this time my water bottle filled with ice and alcohol is ready to drink, then cozy entertainment at home, or the opposite.

I lost in the semi-finals of the IWCCs.

If you live near me; if you are wicked smart in a literary-wordsmithy type way; if you want to do laps together in my building, or as the weather gets colder and it is cozy to be inside, after a few dates, making egg nog or whatnot and planning holiday parties in my building's jacuzzi spa area, which has good jet streams for end-of-day ailments; if you like going to stuff.
