My name is Alex. Hooray for slightly androgynous names.
Much like everyone else, I am unique. Fluent in sarcasm. I can have fun doing pretty much anything as long as it's with good company. I can be a pretty serious person but I balance it out with deadpanned humor, which usually turns out to be hilarious (at least to me).
I'm undeniably a nerd, have been since high school. However, I'm more proud of it now than I was then - I'd even go as far as to say I'm a professional nerd. If you're willing to have discussions about why Marvel is better than DC, the evolution of gaming, and/or why Apple computers are inferior, I'm your man.
I am solidly an introvert. Not to be confused with antisocial, I'm just not crazy outgoing and I rarely make myself the center of attention. I do enjoy the company of others but I find that after being surrounded by people for a significant amount of time, being alone (or only with a significant other) is therapeutic.

I graduated from the University of the Pacific in Stockton with a B.S. degree in computer science several years ago and I now work full time as a store manager at a computer repair place. I go to the gym stupid early in the morning because I'm - you guessed it, stupid. I mean dedicated. I try and visit friends on the weekend, and I ride around on my motorcycle. That about sums up my life. For now.

I'm a pretty decent handyman, as I do computer tech support professionally and I can fix cars when they need it. Like most guys, I'm good at many video games/computer games. I play the piano. In the summer, I'm fantastic at sitting on a boat watching others wakeboard. I taught martial arts for a while, so... yeah. That. I'm decent at that.

Probably how quiet I tend to be. When I'm just getting to know people I choose my words carefully until I know more about them.

Books: I enjoyed everything written by Jack London. I liked much of Ray Bradbury's work as well, primarily "Fahrenheit 451." And also the Harry Potter series. The Dark Tower series by Stephen King is fantastic, and made me 16% more manly. Currently trying to get into the Song of Ice and Fire series.
If you mention you've read John Dies at the End I *WILL* message you back, because you are awesome and have fantastic taste in books.

Music: I listen primarily to hard rock and dubstep. Shinedown, Three Days Grace, Disturbed, FFDP, Skrillex, Mt. Eden, Nero, etc. I listen to some hip hop on the side. Though actually, I like a little of almost everything. Pretty open-minded when it comes to music.

Food: I love Mexican and Italian. It's been forever since I've had either though. I also love preppy sushi (Blue Nami, if you're familiar) Generally I'm not that picky. I try to eat relatively healthy though.

TV: Hawaii 5-0, Game of Thrones, Justified, Archer, NCIS, Burn Notice, Sons of Anarchy, Community, and Friends. Just started watching Dexter from Season 1 ... why didn't ANYONE tell me about this show? (just kidding. Basically everyone did.)

Sometimes I hang out with friends at one of their houses. Sometimes I go out and see a movie ... other times I stay in and watch a movie. I try to be versatile like that.

Hahahahaha. Ha.

but uh, I tend to have low self esteem. Hilariously, this means I'm generally not bothered by being insulted but I get incredibly flustered and embarrassed when I receive compliments.

- you can sit through and/or enjoy "guy" movies. 300 and the like.
- you're not on any serious drugs.
- you don't mind someone that may or may not launch into anecdotes that contain more information about a subject than you could have possibly cared about.
- you do NOT have Twilight or 50 Shades of Grey listed in your favorite books. Seriously.
