I am honest, clever, and absent-minded.

My Self-Summary

So if you are that boring kind of person...
Hint, hint, cough, cough... The exit is over there...
Boring persons will give me a Severe Allergic Reaction. I've tried two tablets of antihistamine, but it didn't help.

If you know that you are a boring person, and pretend that you are funny, it would be equal to assassination.
Stupid people can cause me a Minor Allergic Reaction. But I think I can deal with it. If they are funny and stupid.
But racism, sexism and homophobia can cause me a real Severe Allergic Reaction. Stay away evil stupidity!

English is not my native language, so if you excuse my bad spelling and grammar, I'll excuse your spelling and grammar in my language, Swedish.

Available is not single. I'm not interested in a relation with a person who is not single.
Friendship? Ok, but just friendship then. And be honest to her. Tell her about your profile here at okc. Cheating is very bad.

I am an atheist zombie. Use to be a vegetetarian, but my need for brain made me break with my former healthy living. Don't like metal, but love literature.
Well I know. Those words should have been written in a mail. To secure a good response. Just write them down here so I wont forget. I'm a bit absent-minded, as I think I've mentioned before.

I like to read, a lot. My home is full of books.
A lot of novels, but also a lot of books about art and history.

I have a special interest in female artists in history, and also about female adventurers, such as female pirates and explorers.
Do you know Mary Kingsley? Have you ever heard about the greatest pirate in the world, Madam Ching, who ruled over 70 000 pirates in the beginning of the 19th century?

If not, google them.
-
Music?
Patti Smith, Tom Waits, Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd.
-
Religion?
No.
I am an atheist.

But the Bible is interesting, I like to read it, as I like to read Thousand and one night, or Greek, Roman or Egyptian mythology.
Christian mythology is full of violence, rapes and sex. Strange that the authorities don't censor the Bible and that parents let their children read it.
Norse or Scandinavian mythology that the Vikings use to practise is also interesting to read about.

What I’m doing with my life

I have a lot of jobs:

I am an amateur actor, sometimes work as an extra.

Use to give guided tours in an old castle and dungeon.

I give lectures about female artists in history and about female adventurers (and pirates).

And some zombie walk...

Och eftersom alla svenskar, danskar och norrmän förstår engelska så är det onödigt att upprepa sig. Men i chatten och mailen är det svenska eller "skandinaviska" som gäller.

I’m really good at

History and storytelling.

I really like a good story. To listen to, or to tell.

The first things people usually notice about me

All the blood in my face.
But in the darkness you can't see it, so over a cosy dinner with candles it won't harm you, unless I have to vomit blood in your lap.
But I will blame it on your boring conversation.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I like my books, almost everyone of them.

But my latest favorite is Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. I think he will be the next Nobel Prize winner.

Jennifer Winterson is another favorite author. She wrote Lighthousekeeping and The Passion.

Marguerite Duras is also a very good author.
Try the short novel Ten-Thirty on a Summer Night.

Emile Ajar/Romain Gary
La Promesse de l'aube (1960); translated as Promise at Dawn, 1961
La vie devant soi — 1975 Prix Goncourt; translated as Momo and filmed as Madame Rosa, re-released as "The Life Before Us" (1986).
-
Movies?
I like Swedish film, French, Italian, Brittish film.
Sliding doors, Amelie de Montmartre
Films by Fellini.
But also Woody Allen (almost every W. Allen-film) and films with the Marx Brothers.
Jim Jarmush, Stranger than Paradise, Down by law, Broken Flowers

Lost in translation by Sofia Coppola

Roberto Benigni La vita è bella
Charlie Chaplin The Great Dictator

Wim Wender, Im Lauf der Zeit, Der Himmel über Berlin, 1987 (I prefer the original version)

Vittorio De Sica: Ladri di biciclette, Miracolo a Milano

Hayao Miyazaki Tonari no Totoro/My Neighbor Totoro, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi/Spirited Away

Never use to watch TV, but I remember some nice programs:
Young ones and Bottom
Absolutely fabulous
Black Adder, especially the first season, from the Middle Ages.
Family Guy
The Simpsons
American Dad
-
Music? I wrote about it above, but I here is some more:
Kimmo Pohjonen are you reading this? Please contact me, I'll arrange a concert here and now! ;-)
He is fantastic on stage!

Mieskuoro Huutajat I brought them to my little town...

Tiger Lillies Three crazy and clever musicians.

Monica Zetterlund she makes me just want to sit silent and listen and smile and cry... Her voice is just fantastic.

Jeff Buckley
Tim Buckley
Nick Drake
John Martyn
Jim Morrison
Captain Beefheart
Freddie Wadling
Janis Joplin
Jewel
Sinéad O'Connor
Suzanne Vega
The Clash
Ani DiFranco
Björk

And I have got some new darlings:
Regina Spektor
Joanna Newsom
and
Bat for Lashes
Thanks L for introduce them to me, and for reminding me about
Nina Hagen - how come that I forgot my old love?

Sushi and all kind of seafood.
And I can't manage without fresh fruit and vegetables.
And chocolate

The six things I could never do without

Things?
My friends and my family are not things I suppose.
They are the most important "things" in my life.

Laugh

I love my books and I really need my computer.
And my cell phone, because it reminds me about all my things "to do".

Social well fare
Health care like the Swedish model (I know we are not alone in this, but I can't write a list. The American health care obviously is no health care at all, unless you have a lot of insurances and money)

In Sweden we have a special "Freedom to roam" - called Allemansrätten. This is something unique, and it makes it possible to enjoy nature in a very good way. We have no gated forests or lakes here in Sweden.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

You’re probably wondering
Why I’m here
And so am I
So am I
Just as much as you wonder
’bout me bein’ in this place
Yeah!
That’s just how much I marvel
At the lameness on your face
You rise each day, the same old way
And join your friends out on the street
Spray your hair
And think you’re neat
I think your life is incomplete
But maybe that’s not for me to say
They only pay me here to play

Being "The Maid of Honor" - as I seem to be (http://www.okcupid.com/personality?type=DGLM&g=0&o=1) means that I will probably never meet my soulmate - "The Gentleman" - because he's just a myth...

You’re probably wondering
Why I’m here
And so am I
So am I...

On a typical Friday night I am

At home, reading a book.

Or - there is no typical Friday nights for me.
Sometimes I spend them with my kids, sometimes I work, or read, or chat...

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I wonder where my housekeeper is.
Did she left with our driver 1914?
I haven't seen any of them since then.

Servants!
You can't trust them nowadays.

Where is my Reinemachefrau?

You should message me if
