My self-summary
I grew up in Brooklyn, moved around a bit, and just landed in the bay area a few months ago to live a part Bohemian and part professional lifestyle. I'm living in a co-op, since I find more connection and meaning when I'm living in community.
I like getting messy, walking barefoot on grass, painting, playing sports, board game nights, laughing myself sore, group hugs, being silly, laughing out loud at my own absurd thoughts, and spending time in intentional communities. I don't like wearing skinny jeans or watching horror films (unless they're campy).
Like everyone, I've got my quirks. I love the romantic idea of hiking the Appalachian Trail, but I don't actually like long backpacking trips. I love the idea of meditating, but sometimes find it hard to actually sitting down and meditate.
I'm more hippie, less hipster. I consider myself to be extroverted, playful, logical, silly, liberal, and sincere. I don't know much about pro-sports or cars. I've found that my happiness has almost no correlation with the size of my room or the the price of my meal. I'm working toward becoming more and more authentic, more and more free-spirited, and more and more present.
What I’m doing with my life
I just received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I'm completing a Postdoctoral Residency in Kaiser Permanente San Rafael, and I'm growing roots in the bay area.
I’m really good at
listening, playing, hugging, wrestling, chess, and remembering song lyrics.
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't know. They've never told me... Actually, that's not true and I apologize for lying. I've been told that people notice my smile and that I'm outgoing.

The six things I could never do without
best friends, laughs, sincerity, good movies, good music, and touch.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The meaning of life, the human psyche, and which animal I would most like to miniaturize.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either playing kickball, practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, hanging out with friends, or staying in and watching a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was five my friend was throwing poppers (those legal fireworks that pop on impact) around the bus. I asked him if I could have one to throw. He said no. I just HAD to have one, so I told him that if gave me one I'd pop it in my mouth. He gave me one and I bit it... it popped... smoke came out of my mouth. I had to scrape black soot off my teeth, and my ears were ringing the whole way home.
One day in kindergarten, while having arts and crafts, my friend Danny stole my clay and started running away. I "took chase," jumped on his back, and bit his neck. I got suspended. My mom had to pick me up and I wasn't allowed to play my atari humpty dumpty video games that whole day. The moral of the story is to not bite people, and I haven't bitten anybody in weeks!
