My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
LOOOOONG PAST the age now where I've been quite ready to settle down with the right special someone.....still waiting. I'll admit, I'm a bit picky, but this is absurd! lol. I've been very shy when it comes to meeting people all my life, thus, I've had little dating success. Once you get me talking though, you might never get me to shut up!lol... Don't get me wrong though. My love life may have been lacking over the past several years, but I still have a kinky side:-)(and bonus points if you are too BTW! EXTRA bonus points if you have a Fetlife profile! My Fetlife name is the same as here.) I just keep it in it's proper place. And above all, I respect people's boundaries in that regard. "Why do I point all this out?" you may ask? Not that I'm looking for sex right now, but one day, I DO hope to be married. And I'd rather put that on the table now so you know that's part of the package, rather than for some woman to one day find this after after we're married, then run away screaming! lol.

I'm originally from Cedar Falls, IA, which is where I lived till February 1997. I try to get back every few months when I can for the holidays and vacation. I moved here September 2002. Over the previous 4 years, I was in Anchorage, Alaska, serving out my first enlistment in the air force. After a tour at Ft. Meade, MD, I separated 4 August 2006. Lately, I'm into contracting. And yes, I must make it known I'm a huge Star Wars freak! No, I'm not one who dresses up and goes to those conventions you hear about, but I've seen the movies enough times to have memorized every line though. I've read many of the books as well. As far as my sense of humor goes, I love slapstick, and quick razor-sharp witty humor, but an even better description of my sense of humor would be "King of the Hill" type of humor. Boomhauer is definitely my favorite character from that show, which I've missed since it ended! I'm also a huge Chicago Cubs baseball fan, inspite of how dreadful they have been to watch some years, or when they collapse in others! During my free time, I'm really big into fishing, camping, softball, golfing, rollerblading, biking, and just about any other sport.

I guess MY idea of the right "special someone" (for lack of a better term) would have a quick, razor-sharp, off-the-wall sense of humor, yet be completely level-headed and down-to-earth when necessary. She should have similar Christian beliefs and values to my own. In fact, atheists and agnostics are dealbreakers as far as I'm concerned. If you can't love the Almighty, who can you love really? And therein lies my seeming contradiction, as there are not too many kinky Christians out there, but I am one of them;-) She'd also have to be a really good listener and be able to accept me for who I am. I'm certainly not perfect, nor am I expecting perfection. A girl who's into sports and the outdoors as much as I am would be a big plus, but not a requirement. Above all though, I'm looking for someone who's serious about a long-term relationship, and is patient enough for us to each get to know one another, even if that takes months rather than days or weeks.(sorry, no one-night stands) Reason being that I'm naturally very cautious by nature, perhaps to a fault. That's why to me, trust is imperative. And I believe that in order for a relationship to fully blossom, mutual trust must be absolute! And I think that starts with just getting to be really good friends, and going from there:

A couple of my pet-peeves about this site and many others are empty profiles, and people who email single word messages, such as "Hey", "Hello", "Wassup", "Hi", etc. I took the time to fill this out and help start conversation. I don't think it's asking much for you to do the same. Give me something to be interested gotta sell yourself....why should I want to be interested in you? Also, needless tp say, I'm looking for someone real. If you have a blank profile, and stunningly attractive photos, it will immediately set off a red flag for me that it looks like a fake profile. I lose track of the number of profiles I see on here that use photos stolen from porn sites. I can sniff out fake profiles like a fart in the car! So scam artists, beware!

I am eccentric, quirky, and kinky
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just working as a contractor for the Department of Defense. Beyond that, like they say "if I told you, I'd have to kill you"

Otherwise, I'm looking for employment elsewhere if possible. At the VERY least, away from the D.C./Baltimore beltway. Just not very fond of the high cost of living, overcrowding, crime, etc. Preferrably, I'd like to move back to the midwest to be closer to my family. But at the same time, my/our happiness would comes first, and if I meet a special someone that isn't from there, and I'm happy with her, I'd be happy to stay wherever that is....even if it's

Update November 16, 2010: So as of now, I'm in the 4th week of a new contracting gig. A lot more challenging, but making twice the $$$$$ I was before, so I can't complain;-)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Occasionally, in my free time, I play a little Soprano, Alto, or Tenor Sax. I play a little piano too. I really consider it more of a hobby though.

Other than that, I'm usually strengthening my knowledge of the force and my skills wielding a lightsaber! Yes, I actually own 8 of them.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Geez....I'm usually shocked if anyone notices me at all sometimes! If anything, just the fact that I'm very young looking for my age. I'm 39, but most think I'm in my upper 20's. Or when I am clean shaven....about 12! I guess the other thing that others have noticed when I've gone out on dates in the past is that virtually every girl I've ever dated in the past has said that I treated them with class and respect first and foremost. Personally, I believe chivalry is not dead (yet), but it is becoming a lost art.

Oh, and by the way, I know, as studies have shown, the most common thing most guys lie about is their height. When I say I'm 5'10", I'm 5'10", not 5'8" or 5'7" In other words, I don't B.S. about my height.

Favorite movies are Tombstone, any of the Star Wars and Star Trek movies, Kill Bill vol's 1 & 2, Watchmen, all the James Bond movies, X-Men movies, Spiderman movies, and a bunch more! (yeah, I'm big into the Sci-fi, action, and occasional Western flicks. My musical tastes are pretty extreme. About all I DON'T listen to is country and most rap. I'll listen to jazz, ragtime (yes, that's right, old school in Scott Joplin)The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, Queen, Jewel, Collective Soul, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and especially, Metallica, Van Halen, and more than anything in the world, ALICE IN CHAINS, ALICE IN CHAINS, and ALICE IN CHAINS! Oh, and by the way, did I mention I like ALICE IN CHAINS?! Ok, just checking...I'm also into a lot of 80's music, TV, and movies (Yes, the 80's could quite possibly have been the golden age of music and television;-)

Let's see....favorite food. Well, you can't go wrong with Italian! Without question, the greatest contribution by Italians to western society is their cuisine! Now that I've got a new, better paying job, I may be frequenting Olive Garden more regularly. But I also love Japanese food as well. For the record, I'm NOT big on green vegetables! I'm sorry, I just do not like GREEN vegetables at all. I'll eat peas if they're raw, right off the plant, but that's as far as I go. No beans, cooked peas, lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, peppers, onions. Other vegetables work fine with me, like corn, carrots, squash, radishes, etc. Just the green ones I don't like.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I don't know about 6....but if I don't get my Mt. Dew in the morning, the day just doesn't seem to go quite right.

My guardian angel! Yes, I have no doubt that I have one, because for all the stupid things I've done to myself in my life, my guardian angel has been there to save me from myself time and time again.

I suppose I'd have a hard time living without my George Foreman grill too. That thing has been a Godsend to me!

My truck....gotta have the wheels to get to and from work. I've been to 37 states now, and of those, I've been in parts of 28 states just with my truck, which as of 29 SEP 2013, I have had for 15 years and 9 months. Bought it brand new in December 1997. I've taken very good care of it though, and it still runs like a dream! Even at 154,000 miles! That being said, I'd love to visit more states with it if I get the chance.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life....the afterlife, and all things in between. Depends on the happennings of the day. But on a spiritual level, I was raised Lutheran, and still consider myself as such. I know I don't go to church as often as I should, but when I do, I still go to an NALC church (North American Lutheran Church) in the area.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably watching a movie, or history channel, Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, football or baseball games (either watching or attending), or on occasion, bowling with some of my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I've always (ever since I can remember) had an interest in most aspects of BDSM, especially bondage...(although I tend to stay away from the most hard-core stuff...Safe, Sane, and Consensual is my rule).....guess the cat's outta the bag now! I consider myself a "switch", but my preferrence tends to lean towards the submissive side. And if you have no clue what I just said, then it probably wasn't meant to be Like I always say..."Sex is like Baskin Robbins: With all of those flavors, why go there if all you're going to get is Vanilla?!". But I guess I need to be up front with it anyway, so I might as well say so here. And BTW, I also have a fetlife profile for anyone interested. Username: aicsubbie74.

(Update 02 Feb 09, OK, apparently I need to clarify, as a few have asked....but just because I say that I have a kinky side does NOT mean I'm bi or homosexual. Quite the contrary, as I personally find both distasteful and quite unnatural. One can be totally kinky, yet totally straight at the same time, and THAT'S me;-)

you can appreciate some of my more contradicting qualities. For example, my aforementioned kinkiness, yet being somewhat conservative religiously speaking, and very conservative politically.....can appreciate and respect my opinions....the fact that I think our society has been dragged WAAAAY to the left over the last 50+ years, and it's killing western society....that too many people are sheep when it comes to the media, and will believe any of the liberal filth they spew, and follow it religiously, without question, and have now become the very establishment they set out to destroy, and the fact too few people are truly capable of thinking for themselves, and believe because they follow the media, they must be "informed" (as opposed to MISinformed)...and how they blindly follow their "messiah Darth Ayatollah Hussein Obama" at his every word, no matter how much at our society's peril it truly is. That man is a wolf in sheepskin! Obama is running this country into the ground, so at the very least, the radical liberals are being exposed over the next 1 to 3 years, and there will be no blaming republicans for all the liberals problems where there will be no representation by them! We're in for 2 to 4 years of re-learning what past generations already knew....SOCIALISM DOES NOT WORK! And Obama IS A FREAKING SOCIALIST! It sickens me to think I spent 9 1/2 years of my life helping defend this country from foreign socialism, only for our own people to get suckered into it! So yes, as you can tell I'm VERY Conservative, and damn proud of it!....anyway, I digress.... Anyway, that's just a short summary of some of my viewpoints. If you'd like to know more, by all means, shoot me an email. If you don't agree with me, fine. If you wanna spew more liberal propaganda, I'll go watch either CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNBC, Al-Jazeera, Pravda, etc for any of that thank you very that I got THAT off my chest.....
