My life philosophy can be summed up as follows: "Be a decent person and do whatever the hell makes you happy." That about covers it.

Otherwise, I'm originally from the Chicago suburbs, and have lived in California since 2005. So long as I'm surrounded by good company, delicious food, sharp wit, intelligent conversation, lots of laughs, and adventure, I'm all set.

I live a pretty healthy and active lifestyle. I practice MMA and am also into road cycling. Long story short, endorphins are awesome.

Some recent 2013 highlights: (1) started a great new job; (2) went skydiving for the first time; (3) began drinking a kale/fruit/soy milk/coconut water smoothie for breakfast each morning; (4) attended UFC 157 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California; and (5) attended and performed at my college acappella group's reunion concert.

I want to meet someone like-minded, awesome, sporty and/or nerdy. Extra points for those who appreciate wordplay and a good pop culture reference.

I'm an attorney, meaning I research, write, ask questions, and argue to pay the bills. I have a great job that provides a solid work/life balance, and I'm happy and proud to say I do pretty well for myself.

Writing legalese, public speaking, analogizing, remembering quotes, and picking good restaurants. I also sing a mean "Jumper" by: Third Eye Blind at karaoke.

I'm told I look young for my age.

Books: Favorite classics include Brothers Karamazov, Atlas Shrugged, and Of Mice And Men. My latest read was "Thinking Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman, which provided some great food for thought.

Movies: I have an affinity for oddball comedies (i.e. Zoolander, Napoleon Dynamite, Anchorman, etc.), action and martial arts movies from the 80's/early 90's, and those of the comic book, superhero, or underdog variety. I appreciate most anything though.

Shows: Parks and Rec, Breaking Bad, Community, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, and The Wire.

Music: top 40 hits from the 90's. No shame.

Food: Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean BBQ, Mexican, and pizza.

Friends/family, good coffee, the Internet, comedy, a high-powered blender, and exercise.

Random things that make me think or laugh.

Leaving work early, heading to the gym, and then relaxing either at home or with friends.

As an experiment, a close, non-single female friend of mine made a profile to get an idea of how guys on here break the ice. So, I understand that you ladies get loads of messages, most of which are non-sensical (albeit entertaining at times). With that said, I promise no BS from my end.
