My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am an aspiring writer working hard to get to where I'm comfortable transitioning to a more independent working environment. I've done some stuff... such as kayaking through the Apostle Islands and some backpacking in Australia. I try to be funny, but only seem to be able to be funny when I fail at being funny. Wow my delete button is getting a workout right now. Glad to know it's still working.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated Iowa roughly a year and a half ago with a degree in English, now I'm trying to find a job where I can write.

I also work at Waterfront Hy-vee as the Assistant Manager of the Produce department. It's a new job with new responsibilities, but I'm getting the hang of it. I think.

I play video games mostly in my free time, though I like to watch movies and hang out with friends as well. I co-host a video game podcast in my spare time with my friends. You can check us out on YouTube (Game Scrubs) if you want. Or not. I'm not the boss of you.

I'm hoping to get a job at a place like IGN or GameInformer or really any game-critique workplace. That'd be really awesome. Since I need a bit of a portfolio to work with, I'm kind of biding my time lately trying to accumulate some money so I can take some time off and really get into gear with my writing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Fantasy football
Forgiving people when they mess up (I'm actually thinking of work there, don't read too much into that)
Prioritizing what I can procrastinate.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People notice how quiet I am when they first meet me, but once I get comfortable, I can get quite chatty, almost to an obnoxious level.

My favorite food: Italian anything. It's all delicioso.
My favorite music: it varies constantly, but never into the "country" genre... right now I'm into stuff like Clams Casino, Knife Party, Mumford and Sons, Fleet Foxes, Local Natives, MGMT, The Tallest Man On Earth, Deadmau5, Bloc Party, Grouplove, The Strokes, The Shins, Foster the People, man... just a ton of stuff... But I'd say my top five favorite bands of all time would have to be... 5) Clams Casino, 4) Anamanaguchi, 3) Audioslave (I know they're broken up but still good stuff), 2) Fleet Foxes, and 1) My Morning Jacket.

4) Jerks, who remind me how good a person I actually am.
5) Great people, to aspire to be better.
6) Video games
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Probably the same stuff everybody else thinks about. Meaning of life and other less important situational stuff.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
either: working, going to bed early so I can wake up early for work in the morning, out at the bars drinking with friends, or (mostly)just chilling at home playing video games or something.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I was a kid, I didn't know how to work buttons. One day, I got home from school and had trouble unbuttoning my shorts when I had to pee. I wound up crying and standing in my own piss until my parents got home from work. I was like, six, and it still haunts me to this day as probably the worst feeling I've ever felt. Well, that, and one other moment. Message me and I'll tell you all about it. Maybe.
