After a long period of having a dormant account on this site, I am finally beginning to use it. So, on with the self-summary...

My personality is pretty difficult to pinpoint. I'm very random at times. I'm nerdy, but not devoid of social skills. I enjoy theater, but I'm not one of the loud obnoxious theater people. Basically, if you don't attempt to place me into a stereotype, I won't place you in one. Then we'll get along just fine.

I'm currently a history major at UCSC. Once I get my BA, I'll be off to grad school.

Teaching, singing, dancing, nerding out, giving massages, logic puzzles, random anecdotes, last minute problem solving, listening, describing historical events in comical ways, rambling.

My scent. I don't wear cologne, but people say I smell good for some reason. Maybe I use a really good laundry detergent? Soap? Antiperspirant?

My favorite authors include, but are in no way limited to: Patrick Rothfuss, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, A. Lee Martinez, Christopher Hibbert, Storm Constantine, Alan Campbell, Max Brooks, and many more. I also read manga, although I haven't had the chance to do so in quite some time.

My favorite film is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Other favorites include, but are in no way limited to: the Labyrinth, Red Cliff, Yojimbo, Azumi, Frontiers, Resident Evil, the first Matrix film (The other two were garbage), Howl's Moving Castle, The Cat Returns, and many more.

As for music, I tend to be very eclectic. I like at least one song from most every genre with very few exceptions. Favorite bands/artists include: Queen, Empire of the Sun, Assemblage 23, David Bowie, The 69 Eyes, Guster, Journey, Imogen Heap (Frou Frou), Kate Havnevik, Sufjan Stevens, George Winston, Antonín Dvořák, Coldplay, Aphex Twin, ATB, Tiesto, Coheed & Cambria, and many, many others. My musical tastes change daily.

Food: Sushi is by far my favorite food. I love Thai and Indian curries, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, and occasionally Mexican when the mood strikes me.

Though I could probably live without quite a few of these things, to list the things I literally couldn't live without would be silly, obvious, and purpose-defeating. Things I can live without, but would be sad to have to let go of include:

Alternate lives I would have lived had I been born in a different time period/country. Not simply the ways in which day to day life would be different, but I tend to actually think up entire life stories for myself. Though I never write these down, they are certainly entertaining to dream up.

Typical Friday nights were uninteresting for me, sadly. I usually ended up doing geeky things like indulging in a computer game for a few hours or possibly catching up on Doctor Who. Now that I've moved, though, who knows? There's certainly a lot more going on over here.

I have a straight crush on Katee Sackhoff. Don't judge me.
