My self-summary
On a Saturday I'd love to go hiking or rock climbing and then head to Pearl Street for a beer and a game of pool, or play a video game or two. Send me a message if that sounds good to you.

I'm looking for someone who is active and enjoys the outdoors, but also enjoys a night in watching a movie or playing video/board/card games.

This summer I am going to hike several fourteeners and get in shape to run at least a half marathon. --update: I hiked Bierstadt and Evans via the Sawtooth this past weekend and it was awesome. I'm thinking about hiking Mt Massive next.

I'm a software engineer. I develop video games for a living and I love my job. Yes, this is a real career and I am passionate about it.

I'm into climbing. I've been going to the Spot and the Boulder Rock Club a lot lately. I'm a beginner, but I'm improving.

I plan on trying skydiving soon.

I mostly grew up in Boulder. I graduated from CU in '08, got a job at a startup and things are great. I'm at a larger, more stable company now, but I still get to work on cool things.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a software engineer. I work for a Boulder-based video game developer. I've been making video games professionally for five years and I love my job. Things are going very well.
I’m really good at
I'm an expert skier. I've been skiing for about 20 years.

I know a lot about computers. I'd rather not do your homework for you or fix your machine, but I'd love to geek out about programming or anything else technical or not so technical.

I can throw a frisbee pretty accurately. I play Ultimate about once a week with my coworkers. It's a lot of fun.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Some favorite books of mine are the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Pale Blue Dot, The Lord of the Rings, A Brief History of Time, The Heavens and the Earth (textbook from my favorite college class, which was about the political history of the space race). By now you've noticed that I am in fact a huge nerd.

I like listening to NPR. It's my main news source.

I mostly like old music, but I'm not picky. I'd like to take you to a concert at Red Rocks and I don't much care who's playing. Let's go to a Rockies game too.

I love Latin food and sushi (especially sushi). My favorite place to eat in Boulder is Kasa. Aji is great too. I'm always up for somewhere new. I have somewhat expensive taste.
The six things I could never do without
Friends and Family
All the great breweries around here
I spend a lot of time thinking about
work/how to distract myself from it, when the next snowstorm is coming, world politics, space exploration
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends at my place, their place or down town.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm pretty open about things in general, but it feels weird posting private things on the internet. I'd much rather talk in person.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 24–34
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You are active and like going outside, but aren't averse to nerdier things.

I'd love to go rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, play N64 games, or have a beer and play some pool at Press Play.

You aren't judgmental about the fact that I work in the video game industry. It's fine if you're not into video games. I'm just a little tired of answering "is that a real job?".
