My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a work in progress...

Aspiring computer scientist, musician, and writer.

I went to school for audio engineering. After a couple of internships at music studio's and freelancing in the industry for a little while, I realized I didn't like working on other people's music and only liked working on my own. I've been working on an album for eight years and have no idea when it will be finished, but it definitely will be finished. I've also never had any formal education in music theory.

I have a habit of starting a short story, losing steam midway and putting it aside, then getting new ideas a couple months later and starting a new story.

I have an idea for three novels all set in the same shared universe which I've started plotting out.

Baseball is my favorite sport. Started playing when I was 7 and played through high school. I play softball a couple nights a week with friends. I've also thought about coaching kids in baseball. And I'm a huge Dodger fan.

The three people who inspire me the most are Sean Daley, Hank Moody, and Charles Bukowski.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working toward a degree in computer science, writing, making music, playing softball, hiking, watching the Dodgers, and collecting books, video games, and vinyl records.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm good at a lot of things but I'm not really good at anything, yet.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Maybe that I seem a bit aloof. I'm a classic introvert and it takes me a little time to get comfortable with new people. Once I'm comfortable with someone, though, they get all of me, for better or worse. :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books- When I find a writer I like I tend to want to read at least a few things by them. Some of my favorites are Charles Bukowski, Raymond Chandler, Dashielle Hammet, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, Christopher Moore, and Robert Kirkman.

Movies- I like quite a wide range of movies though I don't watch a whole lot these days. City of GOD, Jackie Brown, Tombstone, Fight Club, Yes Man, Groundhog Day, Donnie Darko, Sin City, Kick Ass, Idiocracy, Scott Pilgrim, Take Me Home Tonight, Mr. Baseball. Just a few that I can think of off the top of my head.

TV Shows- Californication, Game of Thrones, The Simpsons (earlier seasons), Futurama, South Park, Walking Dead, Adventure Time, Shameless.

Music- The bulk of what I listen to is independent hip hop but I listen to quite a variety. Atmosphere, Living Legends, Aesop Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Brian Altano, Talking Heads, The Cars, The Eagles, Nujabes, Frank Ocean, Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing, Classified, Kid Cudi, Little Dragon, Brazilian Girls, The Beatles, Mos Def, Common, Blackalicious, Metronomy, Dabrye, Daedalus, Electric Guest, Grieves, Tears for fears, Queen, El-P, Madlib, J Dilla, Gorillaz, Zion I, Jurassic 5, Heiruspecs, Busdriver, MAYDAY, Shit Robot, Toro y Moi, The Internet... I'll add more sporadically.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Exercise
Baseball
A pen and paper
Someone interesting to talk to
A video game that can keep my attention
Music
Synthesizers
Drum Machines
Samplers

Obviously I could survive without these things but I'd rather not be without them.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Anything and everything. My brain is always on. I have a very philosophical mind and thoroughly enjoy in depth conversations. I'll make you think about things you probably haven't thought about before.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The same thing I'm doing every night... Trying to take over the world.

You should just do it. I'm probably different than most people you know and can probably teach you a thing or two. I know you can teach me something too.
