My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a pretty normal guy. I like computers and reading and chatting with friends. I'm open about myself, sometimes to much. I just moved to Whitehouse and I don't really know anyone or even where anything is. I tend to socialize mostly with my family, but I like getting friends together when we can. I'm very devoted to my friends and family; often to a fault.

I am a certified nurses aide. It's not a passion of mine, but it's a good life. I have been a Certified Nurses Aide for 7(?) years.

I'm Wiccan and very devoted to my faith even though I don't practice often. It's not vital that my friends/partner be Wiccan, though it is nice, but they have to at least be tolerant. I try to be as tolerant as I can of other religions. I find it very interesting to learn about new people and cultures. I've wanted to join a coven for some time or at least find someone else to practice with, but it's not vital for me. I'm semi-open to my family about my religion, and any questions anyone asks me I will answer to the best of my ability.

I like to think of myself as a very funny person, and I think most people who know me would agree. My sense of humor tends to the macabre, but I like to use all kinds of comedy. Oddly I don't really like comedies. Some high-brow comedies I truly enjoy, but it's not very often. I usually go for dramas or action movies.

I read a lot of books and they are very important to me. I find them a great way to learn things and to escape from my life for a little while.

I am grounded, intelligent, and friendly.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just moved to Whitehouse, TX with my family. I work nights at a nursing home and in January I'll be resuming school at TJC.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I feel like I'm good at a lot of things, mostly centering around academics and my work. People often come to me for help and I enjoy giving it to them. I took a personality test today which said my personality type is that of "The Teacher" which I believe to be very true of me.

I have been told that I'm a very good writer, but I find that I'm best when writing concrete statements rather than articulating subjective things such as emotion. I try to do my best and carefully choose the best word for the situation. I've always dreamed of writing a book, but I feel like I need a co-author to complement my talents, someone who is capable of articulating the subjective material which is necessary for books.

I'm skilled at software, and often find people come to me for help when they are having computer problems. I enjoy playing new games and learning about their intricate secrets. Usually the more complex they are the more I like them, but I don't obsess about doing everything in them. It just interests me. I play MMORPGs most of the time such as World of Warcraft and a few others on occasion. People are always coming to me for help/advice on how to fix or do things on their electronics. Usually I can help them. However, a lot of times by the time they bring them to me it's to late for simple fixes.
The first things people usually notice about me

They notice that I seam to be friendly and open and usually people like me almost immediately. I can be very blunt, but usually they appreciate it, because I am always honest with them not to hurt them, but out of love and respect for them. I want them to know the truth without embellishment so that it can aide them. Recently when I met someone she said (later) that she thought I was going to be mean, but within minutes we were laughing and joking like old friends. I don't know what part of my first impression gave her that idea, but I'm glad it changed cause that's not me at all.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm not very big on movies, but I enjoy a variety of them. Usually I don't like slapstick comedy and I rarely like horror movies. I'm also not big on over the top gore such as is in the Saw series. I did however like The Descent. I felt like it had a good storyline and wasn't your typical horror movie. I enjoy a lot of chick-flicks so long as they aren't too mushy. It's not that I'm against sentiment it's just that they tend to go to far to me. I think they're unbelievable in a way which I don't enjoy.

I tend to watch a lot of TV just because there isn't much else to do here. I like crime dramas like CSI and NCIS. My favorite is probably Bones though the psychological profiles in Criminal Minds fascinate me. In general I will watch any crime drama; even reruns.

I listen to music on my Pandora app and there's really no telling what I'll be listening to on any given day. The only things that I really don't like are Rap and some country. I tend to do pop and... well, weird shit. Rite now I've been listening to a lot of Justin Vivian Bond, who is amazing.

I enjoy reading a lot and I usually finish at least one book per week. I read mostly fantasy books, but occasionally I enjoy a good mystery and sometimes sci-fi. Some of my favorite books include the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series, the Merrideth Gentry series, The Dresden Files, the Rachel Morgan books by Kim Harrison, and a few dozen others. Also, I love Jane Austen. I don't know why, but I do.

I like good food, but it doesn't rule my life. I particularly like Chinese and Italian food, but southern comfort foods are staples around my house and hold a special place for me. I enjoy simple foods, but I love to try new things so if someone recommends something I'll at least take a bite to see if I like it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Laptop, internet, cell phone, family, friends, books.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time reading and playing games. I don't get to go out a whole lot because I live in a small town and there just isn't anything to do, but I do like to go places and hang out with friends.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home either waiting to go to work or just watching TV and playing on my laptop. I don't know anyone in Whitehouse, and my work rotation is weird so even if I had something to do there's no guarantee that I'd be free on a specific night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've never seriously dated a guy. It's sad, but true.
